We decided to go to Ruth Chris Steak House but to our disappointment Ruth Chris Steak House doesn't allow Asians to dine there.

Thought this part was interesting:

"While a high-stakes wizard, Z also has a passion for coaching. Twice a week, a group of aspiring players in the area come to their house for a lesson. With a white dry-erase board and all, Z goes through various scenarios with his students, answering questions and creating hypothetical situations. He then lets them open their accounts and play on the computers in the room, while he walks around the room to talk with them and help them with tough situations."

It's nice I guess... just seems weird. I can understand volunteering your time to tutor kids in math or something, but teaching local randos to play poker just seems bizarre to me.

sharing accounts, answering questions, etc. the spirit of the game (ie *LIVE*) is one player to a hand. and the T&Cs of each site certainly forbid account sharing.

He probably does it to help his own game- you really learn a topic inside out when you teach it to someone else. Or maybe it's a Vietnamese thing - I know Men Nguyen and some other Vietnamese players are big into teaching and forming "teams."

i wish i could find someone to team up with. its hard to do it alone. go through bad streaks alone. if i had a good partner that was serious about online poker, i think making money would be a lot easier.
