Ouch, I was just attacked big time on a terrific poker forum: TwoPlusTwo. It was personal and it hurts, but I am proud of the man I am!
HA! he thinks hes a man!

Phil has been like he is forever. He cut his hair off in '02 I believe when he made a wrong prediction about the winner. I just think he likes being involved and of course loves talking. He is pretty harmless and the general public seems to like him enough.

For a guy who complains about how terrible poker players are, he is doing a pretty good job of becoming one of the most unlikable poker personalities out there.

He is not a very smart guy, but he has convinced himself that he is, and has taken it upon himself to make frequent attempts at being profound and meaningful without realizing what a bumbling, incoherent buffoon he is.

He is a dim-witted narcissist with no self-awareness.

I think he was referring to Colman, kind of hard to tell from the way it was written

I think Colman's a really refreshing character but probably should say things in a less inflammatory way. Hellmuth is tv persona anyway. Unfortunately his type of behavior is what gets ratings. We are reality show loving society which is more a reflection of the direction of our society not any one person

Then if that's he case my bad.

But this Daniel Colman character seems to remind me of a kardashian now. Seems like he's grasping attention saying crazy stuff and looking for drama.

Hey Daniel , if poker is the devil and you hate it , please leave the game.

That's not what he is saying. He just doesn't want to market it, because poker causes much despair also.

Maybe a bit too harsh, not exactly a cancer to society but it definitely doesn't do us any good when people like him shamelessly self-promote and try and sell themselves to you. Listened to 5 minutes of that podcast and it got me upset listening to him prop himself up, and the interviewer was definitely feeding the ball to him. It brought back the bitter taste I had in my mouth when he came up on the stage after the one drop win and actually said "congratulations, welcome to the poker world kid." Never met him apart from that but I am sure hes an overall nice guy, just really not a fan of how he conducts himself.

Once again, agree with Colman. Guys like Hellmuth and Negreanu are a cancer to the poker world. I'd love to see Amaya drop Negreanu from Stars sponsorship. They've done it with Gus and Viktor on Full Tilt, so why not Negreanu on Stars? It will free up an enourmous and unnecessary cost on the company.

He and his conduct over the years is a big reason why you were able to win millions in a single tournament this year, DUCY?

PH and DNEGs are the nut worst. I commend pros who speak out against them. They might be "good for poker" in a tv sense but as someone who follows poker and enjoys poker as much as I do, I find the incredibly annoying and obviously insincere.

I just recently listened to a podcast where someone from poker news is talking about DN getting in shots during interviews for no reason other than to be seen, just like Hellmuth jumping on stage to congratulate colman. Instead of tweeting or writing on 2p2 about things like this, people just need to tell them face to face that they do not appreciate their behavior. "Phil, get away from me. I don't not like you. I do not want to talk to you" not harsh but honest. Same thing from DN. I dream about getting into a confrontation with either of them at the table, preferably on a live stream, and letting them know how incredibly annoying they are.

They need to be ostracized from the community. They can still suck off ESPN and be "good for poker" while being ignored by the rest of the community.

You don't think that without "characters" like hellmuth poker becomes boring as **** to the mainstream media?

I don't think anyone should be taking people like hellmuth too seriously. Just laugh at his antics and enjoy him for the narcissist that he is. The world would be a boring place if everyobody acted the same.

I agree with most of your views on poker but how can you enter a tournament (even if you're staked) and be "sad" when you win? Even if you only had 1-5% of yourself it's still a nice win.
