Why does Brandon strike me as the kind of player who would get that close to the money, realize what he would have to do if he actually won the whole thing, gets it in his mind that he couldn't decide to be lazy if he wanted to be -- you know, would have no free time to enjoy his winnings because people would be up his butt for at least the next year, suddenly loses his nerve and dump his chips?

Is there some other really logical explanation for 10-5?

I am not saying he did it on purpose and I take nothing from him as a player overall. The guy has had a great short areer so far. But for as good of a player as he normally is, he also strikes me as a guy with a wicked case of the "f--- it's" at the table.

I think it's funny Cantu berates a dude for 4-betting light, and that he calls the 4-bet with TT - what exactly do you think he's 4-betting here then?

Also it's pretty funny how if he "would've just won the T5 hand [he'd] be sitting good" - as if sucking out as many times as he already did wasn't good enough.

i can understand "gambling" to build the chips, but once you have them, then its time to get more strategic.

i believe this garbage 10 5 situation is just a play from someone who has had timely luck with rag plays in the past. so why stop now? he'll just get lucky again.......oh wait.

i dont respect phil helmuths game as much as other players but he's made some good points before. i remember him berating someone for playing small pocket pairs too aggressively. he said that they have probably had success with it before but then after a year on the circuit, they find its not the greatest strategy.

if cantu is raising 5-6 hands per orbit and making bad plays, then its the players on the table who are playing worse for letting him get away with it.
