So they're expecting 500+ players to generate their $10k prize pool? And one's chances of winning anything are under 1%? What could go wrong?

Dude its $20 dollars

Have you ever been to a carnival/theme park where people pay 20-50 dollars for a very poor chance at a very poor quality prize? Do you think the people there are calculating their expected value?

Golf skill challenges.

This can open up many avenues.

It is kind of silly the prize pool is pre-determined. The rake can be anywhere from overlay to infinite.

Borgata/AC needs sports betting, not this. Sooner or later, you know that some people will throw/fix contests leading to fights/lawsuits/new NVG threads.

In DFS, the number of entries is capped. If they are doing that then fine. But I see no indication of this in the article.

FYP. I agree with what you're saying, but the fact that some states are allowed to offer Sports Betting while others aren't is ridiculous.

Well, you pretty much can do this for Video Games, although I don't know the details. It would be fun if they offered video game tournaments in AC, though, especially at the nicer places like Borgata.

this would be seriously interesting. I ignored poker during the boom and always said if there was a world series of mortal kombat/street fighter or drinking games I would've been the king of that lol.
