I would guess that there will not be any additional arrests. The casinos would have no desire in letting the general public know if massive fraud and cheating was going on. Much better to tell the masses that it was "one bad apple" "lone wolf" everything is fine now, come back and continue to dump money under our roof. When in reality, this almost certainly involves numerous individuals, likely has been going on forever, and reaches farther than anyone will want to admit.

I would guarantee he is currently sitting in the upstairs part of county, where everyone else with no bond, or huge bounds is put. I've been there and it's not a nice place to be. 90% violent offenders taking their case to the box and getting squeezed by DA office. A lot of guys with bodies. Routinely here in high profile cases the state constantly continues your case and your stuck upstairs for years before you get sent down state.

The timing of his case, how quick his case goes to trial, not arraignment, but trial will be very telling in if he is cooperating or talking/working w/ the state imo. Intereting to see who is representing him at first appearance as well.

In Atlantic County they offer you a deal before your initial plea. The cop out rate here is crazy. I'll be watching closely to see if he enters a guilty plea from the rip. I think that will be telling as to if he's the fall guy or "master mind." He's been in trouble before, he's copped out before, he knows that you NEVER take the first deal, if your actually guilty.

also the irony of flushing "contra band" down the toilet and then making a b line for Tennessee ave isn't lost on me either.

My guess is that he and catwoman had a squabble after sex and she flushed them.

Possibly paranoia. Imagining that security was watching him. Imagining that random people are cops. Imagining that those people in the hall were waiting for him to walk out the door with the chips. The situation changed for him when he became chip leader.

apparently the mobile and standard web version of story have different headlines, the mobile one is funnier;

Mobile: "Cops: Poker player flushed fake chips"

don't feel like looking up the specific statutes but I would guess something like they'll hit him w/ 3-5 charges, maybe a couple counts of each, and threaten to run them consecutive if he goes to trial and loses.

Then eventually plea him down to one or two counts of some kind of fraud charge, run them concurrent and send him to Bayside for at least 60 months w/ credit for time served while awaiting sentencing.(assuming he doesn't post 300k cash)

obvious totally guessing but I can't see him doing less then 5. Also, it may be possible for the feds to pick it up because of the crossing of states lines w/ attempt to defraud/commit crime? Idk what applies here(speculating) but white collar crime usually ends up in the feds one way or another, and if you catch a fed case your going be sentenced to 60 months minimum.

I knew this story had gotten pretty mainstream when my 95 year-old grandma called me to talk about it.

They have to give a relatively stiff sentence to deter. Stealing from 4,000 people is as dumb as it gets. People can almost justify theft from faceless corporations. Making it personal to so many people will ensure that resources will be used to catch perp.
