This...anyway the Bellagio isn't the new guy in town anymore..Iveys room is where the high stakes action is at and JRB is a great ambassador for the Aria. I myself am an Aria fanboy...

Bellagio gives the worst comps anywhere, the players in the high limit section are making the same $1.50 per hour as the 1/2 players. No food, no nothing. Anyone who plays in Ivey's Room gets a $50 credit from 4 of the restaurants + room service. They will call people to tell them when your seat comes up, something that Bellagio has never offered to do. The room is much nicer, and they let the biggest game running play in Ivey's Room....Bellagio won't put anything 400/800 or less in Bobby's.

Aria is a much better place to play than Bellagio and I'm very glad the high limit traffic has moved.

I love this. The floor people at the bellagio are by far the most arrogant, stuck up and rude crew on the strip.

Aren't both casinos run by the same company?

The floor at Bellagio is the #1 reason I will not play there.

Last time I was at the Bellagio one of the floormen was ranting about how he's got all of the name pro's phone number (Ivey, etc) and he takes it upon himself to call the regs whenever there's a game going while noting that he's been tipped generously for the phone calls.

Not sure if he was just bragging or if this is their regular practice

Thats part of the job being a pro poker player. You set up a network of "spies" who inform you when there is a GOOD game (with "when there is a game going" he meant "a game where worst players/tourists with deep pockets" are) and you treat them well by generous tips.

I just started playing at Aria a few days ago donking around 1/3 and have been there every night/early morning. The largest game they have been running the past few nights was 400/800 mixed, which is obviously not even close to a "Big Game" but is the highest limit in town. I saw barryg1 and todd brunson in there every night.

That's the game Negreanu is talking about playing the past few days. Now he's complaining because Aria's cable/satellite TV package doesn't include NHL and he can't watch the Ducks game. Also some lame chipstack pr0n.

Seriously a thread needs to be started about how bad they are. If you're a local and are willing to tip a fair bit they'll do you some favors but if you're an out of towner you have no shot unless you way overtip them. Even then they're still the most uncaring and rude crew in Vegas. And they don't even try top hide it. Not sure why anyone would really want to play there.

Yeh the fact that 400/800 is now the biggest Vegas to offer whereas 3 years ago it was 4k/8k is kind of depressing. This needs to change.

Im looking to play 600/1200+ in 6 months or so (and longer term goal is to make it at 2k/4k and 4k/8k), and I wont have anything to play :/

I have played at the Bellagio a decent amount and I haven't experienced them to be rude at all. I must imagine that if you play long enough, everyone will have at least one interaction with a staff member who is unpleasant.

I did however play at the Aria a few months ago and I did like it a lot. They gave comps at a rate of $3/hr. I don't usually give my card, but when I heard this I said sure and they made me a card while I was playing. Nice staff and the room still has a clean feel to it (which will obv. change, all poker rooms become dirty).

The B poker room has had this coming to them for ages. They deserve every ounce of this come-uppance, if true.

400/800 is not bad considering people probably have a ton of money tied up online, and the economy is ****ty. I would imagine that the game would get bigger though during WSOP and considering that the economy is upswinging.

bellagio has at least one really good floorman. or at least hes always really nice to me which is good enough. the rest of the top section ones are fine in my experience too, the midstakes ones are terrible and rude though. theres one that i hadnt seen before that i put on my **** list within about 5 seconds of my first interaction with him when i asked him what games he had going in the top section and he responded by asking for my id and i responded by being rude and asking him how likely would it be for someone with >50% grey hair to be under 21 and have a players card and have played hundreds of hours in the biggest-3rd biggest game in the casino every single time he was there

the aria is just such a nicer casino that im very happy the games have moved over there tho i cant imagine actually going to vegas again any time soon anyway.
