scotty - You may think you're ultra-wity in your response to my last post but it's clear you completely misunderstood pretty much every point I was making.
I would also go so far to say that the vast majority of 2+2'ers reading this thread agree with my take on it.
You perhaps should go back and re-read.
Anyway, you are looking really insane with all these various arguments you are trying to make. It's seriously pretty weird.

Bob is hating on me. AND I've been waiting for him to resurface. Said meltdown happened off camera, and wasn't necessarily about the ruling. The attitude was WE MAKE THE RULES, but I say, NOT when my prescense is required. AND you have to tell me the rules. ANYONE that knows ME knows I would NEVER make a mistake like that...TAKE THAT TO THE BANK!

THEN, it was ‘We’ll make you look bad if you do this!’ AND THEN that didn’t work, it turned into ‘They’re still talking about it. Stick around.’ THEN it was ‘You can win prizes and Phil’s not mad!’ and FINALLY it turned REVERTED BACK into the original threat of ‘We’ll make you look bad if you do this! Whether implied or otherwise, the Executive Producer’s actions speak LOUDLY. This WAS NOT the BDPS I signed on for.

It is what it is…the cameras that were sent on a mission. Hotel security whisked me away BECAUSE they felt bad for me. YOU WERENT THERE, Bob please don’t make me drag a couple of more people that were there to clarify. Cause I might.

Wolitzer, still waiting for ANY story? Tell the one about two grown Muppets taking a bath together.

Isn't this an obvious troll to generate interest in a boring show that has few viewers? Put up some controversy and get some interest, increase viewers?

If I ever make it to a TV table I am going to be loud and obnoxious like the Mouth and the Unibomber. It is exactly why they get all the big buck sponsorships.

All these reality shows stir the pot and purposely stack the deck with obtuse personalities in order to create drama, tension, and conflict.

Rule one of entertainment: There must be a conflict.

Second: audience must have an emotional interest in the protagonists. If we don't know them then we don't care about the conflict.

Television is not Reality. Appearances are deceiving.

For the record I like Scotty Clark and thought he was not only a good player but a great personality for the show.

I did not get any joy out of giving him a penalty and was not instructed by Fox Sports Net to give him the penalty.

I WOULD NOT have even given him a penalty for using the F word but because he called Shawn a Phucker in apparent anger I was left with no choice but to give him a one round penalty and even then he would have missed only 4 hands.

He is correct that he was not warned about getting a penalty for swearing but he should have known that what he did was over the line and any good tournament director would penalize him for his offense. Oddly enough the Scotty Nguyen final table was a big topic of conversation during the taping and a few players asked how I would have handled it if I were there.

I was shocked as were others that he gave up on his team and his chance to win not only a $8,000 Aruba package but also a $10,000 WSOP seat in which he only had to beat one other person (his teammate) to achieve.

BTW, Bob Skolnick who he refers to many times in this thread is a guy that I have worked with on well over 100 shows and is probably the nicest person I have ever worked with. I really doubt he threatened you Scott and am sure that things just got out of hand.

Good Luck in the future

Scotty - I'm not going to make you do anything but if you can find anyone else who was there who would take your side in this argument I recommend you bring them into the conversation.
Pretty much nobody believes you acted appropriately given your account of the events. If anyone who was there can clarify what happened and/or explain why your side somehow makes sense then that seems like a great idea to me.
Yet you mention it as if it were some sort of threat:
"Please don't make me....cause I might." etc etc.
I don't feel threatened by that. I think it's about your only chance if you have any interest in proving the validity of you arguments.

I also don't get the big deal about the cameras tracking you down. You made a big stink and walked off the whole thing. That's pretty significant. It's a reality show and suddenly one of their top players gets fed up and storms out. I can't imagine any producer who wouldn't think it correct to film this.

AND I wouldn't expect you to either. We ALL know you didn't watch last years show AND HAVE NOTHING to compare and contrast. This is the last time I am acknowledging you in the thread. You are out of the grid, sir, for I am tiring of reiterating the fact that the Hilton was 15 miles from the set. How many people have to testify to my character before you quit spewing the the same BS?

Out of the grid baby.

This guy wants to be famous SOOOO bad. This thread is his 15 mins. of fame. Sad. Pathetic. Embarrassing.
09-18-2008 , 09:09 AM
This guy can't be real. He has to be a character someone made up.

Keep speaking in the 3rd person, it makes you seem less crazy...At least Pokerbefun thinks so...
09-18-2008 , 12:18 PM
this is nothing more than a pathetic level to attempt to drum up interest in the show amongst all 2p2 fanbois.
09-18-2008 , 12:28 PM
scotty - it evidently hasn't occurred to you that the reason they didn't similarly track somebody down last year like that might have something to do with nobody walking off the set as you did.
Did they make a special exception to the filming schedule just because of you? Yes, of course they did.
Do you want them to follow all the others who are NOT storming off the show back to their hotels too? They didn't do anything and they aren't threatening to leave so there's no reason to film them on location like that.

You can try to insult me all you want but this is how most normal people are viewing your behavior including your posts in this thread (after your first two or three posts setting up the story....those posts seemed fine and totally normal).
The people 'testifying to your character' are admitting that you are a nice and likable guy but that doesn't mean you didn't overreact in the extreme.
I'm pretty sure they all thought you went nuts over nothing too.

So not to get offf topic, but I would never get the chance to ask you this otherwise, How would you have handled the Scotty Nguyen situation?

08) ‘Just FYI...I am not H0 or Shawn's Boss.’ - Annie Duke
07) ‘Anyone that walks of the set on Fox due to trying to be bullied into staying deserves a round of applause IMO.- grizzla
06) ‘Scotty, were you a superuser planted by UB or Fox, and got found out? - Mookman
05) ‘This thread makes me want to play on UB.’ - OMFGWTF
04) ‘Every one loves Scotty!’ - Harpoon
03) ‘Television is not Reality. Appearances are deceiving.’ - Rand G

AND the number one reason to watch the Best Damn Poker Show.

Yeah I am kind of thinking this too.

Just to spell it out for my fellow 2p2 friends:

If you watch this show you are giving UB/AP ratings. They get revenue based on how many viewers they have. Even if you watch the show planning on never touching a UB/AP poker site and ignoring all the commercials YOU ARE STILL HELPING THESE SCAMMERS.

We all worked really to make it on this show and it would be awesome if we got some people to watch us play. I don't think that the amount they make off the show is based on views alone. Just check out one episode, if you don't like it, don't watch another one.

I will not give a penny of support by watching this show for a fraction of a second. If I do then that is supporting a company that has intentionally cheated its customers out of millions of dollars and that is far too much weight on my conscious.

I appreciate the advice but I will skip it, thanks.

I wasn't just talking to you. I was talking to all the people that say they will not even give the show a chance. You certainly have every right to not watch it, but why don't you let other people make up their own minds.

I don't think it's anything personal, but a lot of 2p2 is educatd about current poker events, and none of us have any reason to support UB.

Advertising revenue created for FSN would eventually work it's way back to UB, and most of us do not want that.

I will never watch a single second of this show.

wow, Scotty is completely off his rocker. Microbob has owned him in this thread.

Scotty - go get some more therapy with the Slipknot chick. You desperately need it. That, or Thorazine.

BEST DAMN THREAD AWARD
This has been very fun and entertaining. Hell, you even got Matt Savage to chime in. Who's next? Russ Hamilton? Phil? Annie? Stay tuned.

Next time I put a bad beat on someone I will be sure to warn him or her not to go "ScottyClark " on me.

Mookman5: Here is the link to the great article that Matt Savage wrote in regard to the H.O.R.S.E tournament => The Other Side of the Felt #13

I think this H.O.R.S.E. has now been officially been beaten to death.

'Microbob has owned him in this thread.' = Dominic

Ouch that hurts. Owned by a cat loving male poker player.

Now THAT really hurts.

Is someone about to throw a purse at me?
