he doesn't want poker to consume his life so instead he started the most successful training site in the world. you don't need to play 500 1k every day to be considered good afaik and im sure if he decided tomorrow to start grinding the games again he would be a winner..

It should probably be noted that NO ONE dominates HSNL online anymore (excluding the nosebleed guys who rely on Guy, Benyamine, Gus, Ziigmund).

We're in the year 2009, where the biggest regularly running game on Full Tilt is 10/20 NL.

TC has never been anything but a class act it seems, have to respect him. However, while u cant blame him totally, its kind of crappy move to educate all the fish. Then again if he didnt someone else would have.

i wonder about this too sometimes, you can look up some self proclaimed LHE winners online and they do not win or very little over 200khands+

With all the training sites out there, I am not surprised, or wouldnt be surprised if they never won money at the pace they use to ever again.

I'm mainly suggesting that they don't track 25/50 PLO, which is where about 80-90% of my play is. Also HSDB used to not track HA and missed lots of big winning sessions that I had there at 200/400.

edit- also went on HSDB right after posting this and they have me as -$28k yesterday when I won about $4k, lol

tru thats a pretty reasonable complaint, im pretty much in the majority that are probably just jealous, but it seems like so many people just want to hate in here

but if they catch a random 100K hand sample size it should still be reflective of a true winrate right?

stinger is obviously very good but some of the other "top pros" on training sites who dont play much anymore aren't winners at the high stakes these days - no way.

Even if you're right and they can't beat 500/1000 NL like they used to it doesn't mean that they can't beat whatever level you are trying to learn. These guys became great because they know how to take advantage of weak players and they can still do that. Most of the info they're going to give you about beating the best players in the world is completely useless because its on an entirely different level. They're target market isn't the 25-50 regular whose already built up a roll from years of playing, its the guys who need to learn the basics of the game. Even if you can only beat bad players but you do it better than anyone else you'll still be successful, look at phil helmuth.

yeah you make a fair point, i didn't say anything about beating 500/1000nl though, high stakes is still games like 5/10, 10/20nl, i'm not sure some of them could even beat 5/10, 10/20nl these days - what do you guys reckon? What annoys me is they all claim to be so good when not all of them are.

500K hands - sure
IMHO

I remember reading that CTS went through a 100K breakeven and he's also ran at like 13 PTBB over that same stretch. Same can be said with a lot of us.
