She did nothing wrong. The fault is the other players trying to bully her.

+1 pushing rec casual players away and upsetting a positive experience was not a great thing for the game as a whole. Just because you have the right to do it why be so petty that it may cost players in the long run. Pros want more fish in the games but moves like this drive them away .

Will beginners enjoy a game where you can change the rules of the game before its over or would they rather play a game where its understood what the payouts are before hand? Why not change the payouts to less people rather than more before the tournament is over. Its basically the same things. People should get equally pissed.

When I won the Venetian Deep Stack I got ridiculous pressure to chop when we made final table and I was chip leader. I told them that if they wanted to chop then they can give me #1 money and they can all chip in to the chop since they wanted it so badly.

I hate the chop. Hate it!

I understand the right but we are talking such a small amount its her right , to me the rule should be no chops ever that would be fine by me and we would not have this problem. im just thinking in that spot , not a Enright hater its her right, but for 165$ it seems petty but then again why is there even a chance for a 28th place pay. casinos fault not enrights to me blame casino for it, to me the casino put her in a bad spot fwiw. but I would have agreed but blamed casino after the fact for it

If everyone else is more eager to chop than you are, you can leverage this into getting a much better deal than you deserve based on the chip counts. You are missing out on a lot of EV if you refuse to chop regardless of the circumstances.

only ft should there be chops we are talking 28th bubble if casinos go for this it puts 1 hold out under stress which to me is unfair stress if that person is known the vote should be secret if you allow it.

The only time i agree to a chop is when its my best interest to chop. When the blinds are too high to be playable or if the difference in money is a significant amount. But im not gonna chop just to pay the double.

Pardon me interrupting this thread, but can someone explain something to me please? I haven't been to NVG in well over a year, and shockingly, most of the top threads were around the last time I was here. Slow year in poker news?

This should become the universal way to do it.

it's like chopping in cash games- look at your cards first then make the decision

if you are about to blind out -pay the bubble (yourself) otherwise fold to the $$!

duh
