Very true, just bad luck flopping bottom set and turning a boat then making a better one on the river. Just well played by villain, props for scooping a huge pot.

Sbrugby played this hand horribly by not jamming the flop. So many turn cards kill his action and the stack sizes make it a no-brainer.

I may be on my own here but based on how the hand was played, the river bet is a huge disaster IMO. Two pair/sets were being represented all over the place on the flop. I don't see many worse hands calling this river even though some weird straights got there.

BTW I also think a modest river value bet by villain is wayy better than checking.

Not a fan of the river push either.... Don't see much that he's beating that is calling that bet.... Unless its a bluff and he puts him on exactly what he has, and wants to convince him he's got QQ, or maybe he's just tilting.....

yea i just assumed sbrugby knew his fullhouse was no good, and knew he could use his ultra-nitty image to get his opponent to fold.

that river push is a pretty standard value-bet (let him figure out what to call you with), especially if you think your opponent will bet 6's full of queens or better. tricky/well-timed check by villain, although it probably didn't matter since aba was calling anyway.
