20 years sounds about right, don't know how the prison system works in Aus but is there any chance he'll end up serving 10-15 years due to good behavior?

Or if he has any type of connections and rats them out (wich I doubt he'll do for OBV reasons) he might be able to work out a pretty good deal.

in the uk you can get coke from £15 to £120 a gram, depending on who you know

avg price is about 40

even 120 dollars is very high compared to europe and most major US cities where 40-60 dollars would be an average price. Makes sense to try and smuggle it into australia and make the big bucks. (but the high price probably comes from the fact that it is very difficult to smuggle the stuff in)

I'm rather ignorant concerning these matters. How the hell do they find drugs in machine parts? Drug sniffing dogs? Do they inspect every incoming vessel? Or did Saab & company just run bad cause their ship was the one in twenty searched that day?

He should have balanced his drug donkey (mule) range by smuggling tightly packed bags of icing sugar up his ass 70% of the time and tightly cling-filmed bags of oregano in his suitcase 85% of the time. I've played with both David Saab and Robert Alan Remeeus at Crown Casino over the years. Thought David was cool, though, too talkative at the tables. Remeeus is a scumbag cheat though, not surprised he's getting done for cocaine. Played with him back in '06/'07 on 1/2 cash tables, sat right next to him. He limps with QQ under the gun, everyone limps, before it gets to me in the big blind, and he whispers to go all in so he can protect his hand and he'll give me back what I lose. I declined. Then I left the table. Guy prob angle shoots, colludes, cheats whenever he gets the chance. Scumbags get what's coming to them. He's prob gonna be locked up a while.

I just remembered when I played with Saab once in a 500nl cash game in Sydney during APPT 09. I had heard of him obviously, mainly because he was from Perth originally which is where I'm from, but i'd never actually played with him before. We struck up a conversation, he was sitting on my immediate left, and somehow we got to talking about how he had been depressed for a while before that. Grinding lots of tables on fulltilt at like 2/4 or something. never leaving the house etc. I don't remember any more specifics because this was ages ago.

So yeah I feel kinda bad for him tbh
