Other people called this dude's character into question (and that of all poker players) by implying that selling drugs is evil. I responded. I'll stop when people stop saying stop ****...

doctors, OF ALL PEOPLE, on a daily basis prescribe drugs for patients that are often in the name of drug promotion and they are DEFINITELY MORE EVIL THAN COCAINE DEALERS AND IMPORTERS.... DOCTORS ARE BIGGER SCUMBAGS THAN COKE TRAFFICKERS FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!

hell, even mandela and ghandi and all that probably took kickbacks while they were in power and are scumbags

so let's just erect statues of drug dealers on every corner right now because they are really no worse than the people who are held up as model citizens of every country on earth!!!! I mean hitler even is no worse than the average brit or frenchman at the time for doing what they were all thinking of to the jews!!!! let's free russ hamilton too, the guy's only done what tons of poker players would've done!!!!

STATUES FOR EVERY DRUG DEALER AND TRAFFICKER THEY ARE ONLY DOING A SERVICE TO THOSE IN NEED AND THEIR LIVES ARE NOBLE AND THEIR DEEDS ARE PURE!!!!!1111111
I got totally levelled by this. A+

Where are you? Pretty standard for it to be 300 in Sydney, but possibly to get it as low as 200 if you have decent friends.

However, have heard its only like 30% pure everywhere.

This whole drug argument is stupid. Of course more families are torn apart by alcohol. But more familes are torn apart by car wrecks then motorcycle wrecks, but if as many people drove motorcycles you would see which one was far worse. Coke does longterm physical, and mental damage. In a lot of cases, it renders people unable to "get happy" on their own in the way they used to for long periods of time. If you dont think that ruins lives, imagine being depressed for long periods of time, how productive are you? Regardless, I think it should be legalized and drug penalties lessened. With that said, drug penalties for trafficking need to be in place, just lessened. That would entirely defeat the purpose of legalizing drugs if just anyone could sell them. You guys sound ignorant. And yes, obviously pharmaceutical drugs are far worse then coke. Does that even need to be stated? Oxycotin=heroin. And i lol'd at the people arguing that heroin wasn't bad for you. While the majority of the effects are withdrawal/addiction, you cannot say that those aren't long term, and damaging. How many 70 year old heroin addicts do you know? Or coke addicts for that matter? Still plenty of old drunks though.

But on a more important note: David is a nice person. He is kind, and personable, and funny. Show some sympathy, people make mistakes, and get to deep into certain situations and have to do something that they wished they hadn't done to get out. I am not fully convinced that there wasn't something else at play here. Seems like too much to risk for him personally without having a bigger reason, i.e being in deep to someone, etc. I also don't think he was flush with cash, I just think he liked to give off that persona. As ****ed up as it sounds, here is to hoping that he rolls over on somebody and gets off a lot easier. I believe he has dual citizenship, so while Korea would likely not take him back, I am sure he could use his citizenship to get into another Asian country, and likely away from anyone's posse who he rolled over on. Maybe not the greatest life, but he lived in the phillipines for years recently, and I think that is far better to live in fear and exile, then to spend the rest of your life in prison. Either way, not the best circumstances.

Wow some dumb posts in here. After riding shotgun with the popo during an internship and my Grandfather's moonshine habit, I'd say alcohol is a much bigger scourge on society than illegal drugs. About every domestic violence or dispute call is alcohol related.

i don't think anyone is saying that alcohol is less of a problem in society, but rather that the reason it is bigger is because so many more people are using it. doubt the situation for your grandfather would have been any better had he been using heroin every day.

For those defending the current laws and criminalization mentality that's failed so utterly at everything except making violent drug gangs immensely wealthy and destabilizing most of our southern neighbors, time to wake up.

Regulate, don't abdicate.

Amsterdam are finding their stance on soft drugs is impacting their their lives too much and are now concidering changing their laws, and this is just soft drugs. This mayb because their pretty much on their own in europe so have become the holiday ground for many.If all countries took their stance then this would obv lessen the impact on their lives, but still it shows that regulating is not with out problems.
Many abused drugs are regulated, but obv this doesnt work , we only need to look at the problems of pain killer abuse with in some states ,their are drs surgeries poping up just to abuse the situation and make a killing.I dont know what is the best way to lessen the impact drugs are having on our communities but to say its ok, is really blinkered and to say its ok to abuse one drug because another is worse is ******ed.

I've played on the same table with Mr Saab many times.

This person is a grub - not only to other players (i can handle that - part of the game), but also to the floor staff and dealers.

I hope he cops it up the back passage.

You're missing the point entirely. Yes, abusing cocaine will RUIN your life. Same goes for alcohol and pretty much any drug (though cannabinoids are pretty tough to get too ****ed up on). What we have right now is ZERO drug education about stuff like coke. People don't know wtf they're getting into and that's dangerous. The same goes for alcohol to an extent -- people hear hyperbolic scare tactics (omg u could get cancers!!!) and they assume it's all BS.

For sure -- heroin will eventually kill you even if you never OD. Abuse of opiates makes the body go nuts wrt endogenous opiods (endorphins), and that will cause all sorts of really really unpleasant side effects regardless of whether or not you're in WD/OD mode.

That said. Heroin can absolutely be used recreationally, it's just a kinda big risk to take (you better have some crazy-good self control).
