All the swedes(myself included) fap to his part in a very old documentary called "pokerlandet" (The Poker Country) where he just sat there in front of his laptop interupting the interviewer every 5 sec with "wait wait wait, big pot coming... no." some seconds later "wait, might be a big pot" and it just keeps coming with other variants like "wait, big pot!" etc whilst the interviewer actually tried to finish a question.

Probably one of my alltime favs with regards on how much he actually have crushed poker for.
yeah he is very good he is apparently the biggest winner in No Limit online, a few of the high stakes NL regs said he was one of the best NLHU players behind sauce, and considering how the game has moved on is extremely impressive

He doesn't call because his hand is good like <10% of the time given the action.

His raise is 100% a bluff, and the main factors that contribute to his decision are holding the 5 and the fact that he can credibly rep QQ and opponent cannot. It makes it a good spot when you know the opponent cannot have nuts or second nuts.

Good insight! Its pretty sick that trips is good '<10%' of the time. What would be sicker would be if he put love2playU all in...

SoThuritz is ChaoREN?
I remember pokerlandet myself, and one of the most funniest pokerinterviews Ive seen is right those clips of Thuritz.
Fe when the interviewer is horrified about the 800k losses he had one month, Thuritz is interrupting: "men vänta..se vad som händer..ge mig en stor pott eller?" ,like the worst degen ever.
The also talk blackjack and sportsbetting while hes constantly clicking the screen.

Pity we didnt see more of him, he would have been Swedens coolest pokerprofile.
What happened? Was it just light games back then and then he didnt keep it up?
08-02-2012 , 04:21 PM
He's still in the biggest games online and have always been, and he is in the biggest livegames in the world aswell in macau, so i'd say hes doing just fine , he is just one of those guys who really just isnt known that much to the average NVG'er but rest assured, every nosebleeder out there in any game is perfectly aware of his nicknames across the networks or atleast know that nickname x is nickname y on that network and so forth.

So he actually thinks he can get a set of 3s or 4s to fold, is that what you mean? Isnt it any risk it looks like hes bluffing with one of the missed draws, and that he also is aware of that the opponent has a busted draw hes bluffing with (although with some pairs to win the pot).

Didnt see the game so dont know what the table dynamics was.
08-02-2012 , 04:39 PM
guessing he wants a str8 to fold... not trying to fold out that many fhs.
08-02-2012 , 04:53 PM
If he thought he was good less than 10% when facing a bet after checking then he should probably just b/f this hand. In order for that assumption to be true his opponent has to be checking back missed draws and counterfeited hands, which makes betting better if he is checking back whiffs and rarely value betting worse.
