Aria Announce "Multi Action Poker"-Two Dealers/Simultaneous Games Per Table! Aria Announce "Multi Action Poker"-Two Dealers/Simultaneous Games Per Table!

If you zoom in on the plaque next to the dealer, the closest one says 2-4 limit, and I can't read what the other one says. The only chips I see in players' stacks and in the pot in that photo are all $1 blue chips. Looks like they're keeping things at small stakes limit which obv makes sense.

How's Under The Radar gonna sit in the game and not post about it

Anybody willing to try to grab some video of it running?

god i'm already confused from that one pic

They should call it Speed Poker
12-05-2012 , 11:43 PM
does anyone know if you have to play both hands if you sit at the table or can you play one hand?

eg: the game is NLH and PLO and you dont want to play the PLO...

just curious since they mentioned the chip transfer between stacks if one stack goes to zero.

Actually the pic makes it look clear finally. Notice the red/blue diamond in the center of the table.

The dealer with his back to us (in the pic) is dealing the red deck. He lays out the flop on the red half of the diamond... and spread the flop to his right... Basically he owns the table to his right of center. That is where he builds his pot.

The dealer opposite is dealing the blue deck and does the same thing to his righ of center.

Each of them obviously deals to the red or blue dot in front of players.

The only problem is if when he has to deliver a pot across the other dealers space... but as long as they keep the pots tight and stacked it should work.

you're just now realizing this involves separate buttons and blinds? i would wait until at least grando2.0 before racking your brain any further.

i realize it's a long shot but i hope this takes off.

I'm pretty sure the first words of my OP said something about a train wreck...

Just nice to have a casino in town willing to try ways to get players more hands per hour, and at even lower rake than before. It's quite a contrast to the Gary Loveman properties, and something I want to support. I'm sure you can respect that viewpoint.

I'm coming back from a trip today and am also a LHE fish, so no more pics or video from me for a bit.

So I didn't take any pics or video, but I went down and checked it out. As mentioned they were playing limit hold'em and when I got there they were playing 3/6 on one side with the mint chips and 5/10 on the other with redbirds.

Things that I noticed:
Players playing one hand while action hit them on the other would slow things up as expected.
Occasionally a player would muck their hand to the wrong dealer, this didn't really slow things up much, but the dealer would have to reach across the table.
The blue side was playing with standard Aria cards and the red side had cards that looked like they had some kind of red dragon thing on the back of them, so keeping your hands separate was no problem.
Dealer pitch needed to be super accurate to hit those little slots. They were better at that than I thought they'd be.
I haven't played Aria in a while, but I recognized a few of the people in the game. I don't imagine there were many tourist types in it.

Looks a lot like http://www.dualholdem.com/#!what-is-...oldem/mainPage

I tried this out at G2E and wasn't terribly impressed.

I can guarantee the game is a big hit with one word: topless.

Can anyone confirm the rake?

pretty sure that confirms $3 taken 2 times....each dealer takes a rake and $3 is max rake in this variant...

Video I took before jumping in

Guy in the white shirt and tie is Tim Frazin, developer of the game. I invited him to join us in the thread and he expressed that he would jump in when he can.

I think that if the people want it to work it will. The rake didn't matter. You are playing 2 games. Same if you 10 table online. You paid take on 10 tables.

The big difference was having different color chips. I know it was a trail and If this is legit they will be getting new ones made. We were playing 3/6 limit on both but decided to change to 5/10 on one side to try it out. And it made all the difference! Was easier for the dealers and players!
I had a blast playing it. They are redoing some small things that will help out but overall it was smooth! All the players were enjoying themself!

It's also fun to scoop both pots at the same time!!! Bink Bink

early victory for the "cautiously optimistic" crowd.
lets see how the mid-game develops.

Cash should not be allowed, only chips. More potential for crossing money between the two games.

Thanks for the TR.

It seems like it might go really well with two different colored chip stacks, which is exciting. I wonder if it would be a good idea to try two 1/3NL games, one with the mint $3 chips, and one with the red birds. $1 blue chips can be used on either table, but just seeing the pot being predominately green or red might be very helpful. I'm not sure if two different denomination chip stacks would be easier or harder than two games being spread of different levels. Maybe someone who has played can chime in on this. Seems to me like playing two games of the exact same limit/game with two different predominant chip colors for each stack would be the nuts for my preference, and maybe some of the tourist types who just want to play NL..

Suggestion: dealers should wear blue/red vests to make it even more obvious who's dealing which.

Am I smart or am I smart??!!
