I just got back from the aria.

The table is near the bathrooms against the rail... no lines, and nobody is waiting.

I am still slightly skeptical, but anything new is very interesting I personally can not wait for a 2/5 game of NLH and PLO

the table is currently set up for 2/5

They need to make this one game of holdem and one game of plo. Less complications.

How about one game of razz and one game of stud.

they said it was going to be limit. i don't know where they plan to get 9 limit players.

This is what the Aria Twitter said yesterday:

@ARIAPoker: @Tommymac18 We are going to start with limit hold'em games to work any kinks out. The format does allow 2 different games to be played.

You don't get it.......it's a trial period.....obviously they'll have people to occupy the 8 seats to play limit to get approval from Gaming.

It's probably setup for 2/5 because they've used the table in a normal manner since it was put in.

"Wait a minute folks. After watching the action a while, I think we can make a few improvements.
First thing is to remove that deck of cards... good. .. and.... remove that dealer...
Hmmm... yeah.. That should do it. OK. Carry on."

just snapped this pic from outside of the casino. if peeps want to play in this game they might have to wait a few weeks for all of the excitement to settle down a little bit.

They need to do this on an e-table and it would take off.

I think some people just want to try it because it is something knew and some are Internet players who want the experience of multitabling live. I play online and multitable but I have never had the desire to play multiple hands at a live table. Playing live is a different experience. It is more relaxed, more social. The recreational players, the players you want at your table, are not going to be interested in this. They just want to sit at the table, have some free drinks, and play. I don't even see the action junkie fish types being all that interested in this. For them they can get their action fix by playing loose aggressive at a standard table.

Just like the 6 max tables that have failed everywhere they've been tried, this will fail because a few random fish will play it at first but eventually it will be a bunch of Internet sharks playing with eachother and they will quickly realize it's a waste of time.

I think people just want to be able to tell their grandkids that they were there and playing the first day this game was spread. Also, that would be like something that nobody will ever be able to take away from them.

when you actually have something to contribute, feel free to offer up an occasional post... until then, STFU.

the faq's, as stated, clearly back what was said by me.

now go back and clean the toilets.

you'd think they would use jumbos on that table. its hard enough seeing standard cards from the edge of the table to the middle. must suck when they're even further away.

tHIS REALLY JUST COMES DOWN TO DEALERS MAKING IT VERY CLEAR WHICH BOARD IS BEING PLAYED ETC
12-05-2012 , 08:16 PM
Just from the chips in that pic I'm guessing its 4/8 or 8/16?
12-05-2012 , 08:40 PM
so was it a "closed" or pre-filled game or did anyone here end up playing? looks like 4/8 LHE?
