its clearly a big deal. most likely the players left to act, stack sizes, and particular hand he was dealt were factors

A little late but great work OP.

A good player could probably win by only limping pre (even tho far from optimal)
lmao no.

I know this sounds ******ed when I write it and that it goes against the standard idea of pre-flop raise sizes, but that is seriously the reason why he does it.

I've also seen BG_Eccentric (or however it's spelt) limp a lot at high stakes, but they're making fun of the actual strat, probably the idea that there isn't much of a difference between the raise sizes.

An obvious counter to Loctus' post might be that the power of position grows as stacks are deeper therefore having smaller pots (relative to your stack) on the flop would help more than the advantage of having bigger pots in position, but I really don't know. Also raising smaller induces calls from a wider range when your opponent is oop, but I dunno the effects of that on profitability given the changed pot size. I'd imagine playing against a wider range with more room to manoeuvre is hard to beat

yes, but to say there isn't a difference is a horrible assumption to make.

woah.. pretty cool tbh.. Wonder if the table will fill. Shouldn't the top NLHE guys consider ivey a fish in this lineup?

I mean, if the table does NOT fill then that would mean that they all still consider Ivey really really good at 6max nlhe..

04-14-2014 , 08:39 AM
I mean I can't imagine Ivey has played too much 6max NL lately, so he must be a fish in this lineup. So yeah I'm definitely surprised it hasn't filled up yet. Not complaining though, 4-handed 400/800/150 is gonna be super fun to rail

Yeah, seems really unlikely to me but the only other explanation (apart from people being asleep) would be that they think someone else is playing on the account. Even that doesn't stop people sitting initially though, and I can't think of someone who would play the account that wouldn't be considered a mark in these lineups.

Ike is sitting on other tables, maybe he's afk?

edit: waiting for new GoT so I'll post hands for ~10 minutes haha
