If he risked "everything" but still had 20bb left regardless that's not really everything now is it? Also if he had chips left, that must mean you did in fact risk everything. With ace high, so he was actually ahead then, right?

This is like OP asking if he should jump into a dumpster fire. I'd like to hear what the parents have to say and more about the 'now I'm finally good enough to work' part.

Probably just a trolling thread.

If not then ppl who takes these kind of risks will not stop after getting their gratification (huge score). They usually just make the stakes higher, and the next bet wont be 10k , but way more than that. Not necessarily in poker- criptos, stocks etc

I guess we need those recs.

I think people underestimate how good, and how lucky they have to be to make something like this work.

Why do Americans have the strange fascination with therapists? I honestly think this causes a lot more problems than it solves.

I don’t think Americans have a fascination with therapists. Maybe some on this forum do but not the majority of Americans. Also, therapists can either be helpful or detrimental, depending on who you go to. Source: I’m a therapist.

I'm early 40s, still live with my parents, pretended to be a "pro" since mid 20s. Gave up college for this, they still pay for my food and cell phone lol
