we only had 210 characters for the message so I have to edit it down a tad from what g_p sent me.

got her 12 assorted roses which came with 12 more, so 2 dozen total, and got a green vase for them.

kathy will get the flowers on Jan 7th.

i guess the 'blow 100k' isn't based on a single example ... some 2+2 users are just curious, that a lot of poker buddies from kevin (known HS regs), didn't donate

as usual, clueless gonna clueless

just because a lot of his friends didnt donate publicly doesnt mean that they werent there giving and helping in every way - not just with cash but also with morale, emotional support, etc.

we dont know how much kev's friends helped financially, and it doesn't matter, because so many of them were at the hospital and at his bedside from day 1 doing whatever they could to help while also having to deal with the fact that a very close friend of theirs was near death.

there's no doubt kev's family needed those big donations to provide with the proper care/treatment, but i'm sure that they'd even tell you that, while money will go a long way to helping kevin recover, it's ultimately going to come down to the love and support of his friends and family to get him all the way there.

Badass. Aside from money as a donation I also donated last years "one time" to him as well. I haven't used it this year yet so I'm going to donate my "one time" for the year again for his recovery. Never met Kevin but he was a 2+2er and seemed to make a positive impact on a lot of people who met/knew him so that's good enough for me.

Any updates guys?

There was a facebook update last month with a video posted. Unless someone beats me to the punch I will post it when I get home from the casino. (if I'm given permission)

New post coming up in a few minutes... I have only had little communication with Sam since the last update, so I'm mostly just relaying the Facebook updates and don't have much intimate information. But all good stuff, nonetheless.

Kevin's current therapy schedule is quite busy: Three days a week physical therapy, three days a week speech therapy, three days a week ARP therapy, and also a music therapy once a week. The ARP therapy uses electric currents and has helped Kevin to recover better on his right side which is more difficult for him to control. The music therapy helps Kevin with expression and speech.

Another special update is in the works, too. Stay tuned!

that's so ****ing awesome. i'm so happy for kevin. such a nice person, so glad he's getting better. hope for the best as always.
