I regularly visit a few forums ... each one offering special promotions ... one forum has a history of not paying their members in a timely manner ... for example a couple of us won a trip to vegas and we had to request payment multiple times before we saw a dime ... I recently won a contest on the forum but I know I will not get paid.

Some how this forum always seems to get a site to pay them instead of the paying the winner of the tournament. Seems strange to me.

They seem to be good people except for that money issue.

If what you state is true, you're doing others a disservice by not naming the forum. Starting a poll is pretty ridiculous.

The forum DID pay me and another for the Vegas trip ... just not in a timely manner. I was hoping someone could tell me it was common practice for poker sites to issue monies/prizes won directly to the forum instead of the players account. Seems odd to me.

They held a WSOP Main Event Seat give away and the site paid $2 grand (expenses) to the player and gave $10 grand (entry fee) to the forum ... the forum is suppose to hand the money over when the player arrives in Vegas.

I am sure they will pay ... in the past they have been slow in getting the funds into the right hands. So my question is ...

Do other forums serve as a middle man for prizes won?

We don't care about your stories tbh, name the forum or go away.

I don't know why you're so upset. People who have been on Brucie's The Price Is Right that have won £30000 worth of stuff have gone eight months or so before getting any of their loot.

no one is upset ... it seems like a strange practice to with hold monies.

Maybe the prize for the WSOP Seat is being withheld by the poker site and they will hand over the monies in vegas? Sounds logical ... but the vegas trip prize money was with held for a month and half ... I got it but expected it sooner.

The contest I won was for small amount of coin ... I doubt I will see that and I am not going to send 6 weeks of emails to get it either.

I am going to watch things develop ... they have a history of late payment.

Again not upset ... I posted here for some insight ... did not get it ... moving on
