I don't see how this could benefit poker in any way. More 20 somethings in casinos and crazy things start to happen. Your girl that is playing your money in the slots would probably get banged (if she is decent), you will be losing more money than usual and will feel older because the average age would drop dramaticly.

Do you really want this?

i dont trust it either. i think that some smart computer programmer who contracts for FTP (or an employee) is seeing cards right now.

It depends. If it's a ban of the OP, then yes.

wow...just wow...happenned to coincide with a lot more things than just this...how about a lot more coverage by espn; altho OP is clearly ******ed it is even more ignorant to claim this...especially because online poker was around much before the explosion of hte WSOP. WSOP becoming huge led to more online gambling IMO, not other way around

I used to be a live "pro" and now play mostly on the internet. I fear the day that online poker goes down in flames. I do agree that most live pros would get eaten alive by online players of comparable stakes. Most of these live pros are not good enough to play on the internet so they all think is rigged. I know because I have tons of friends that think and say that, it's natural for them to say stuff like that.

Isn't there an human element of live poker that internet players just don't understand. I know I make most of my money by being able to read the body language of other players. I also know that it took many years of playing live to acquire this gift. Plus once the internet guys start leaving there dorm rooms and wonder into a casino, dont you think that some will fall into bad habits. Hookers, blow, pit games, etc that are not available in one's dorm room.

It's funny, b/c this is probably the most popular statement/opinion that I hear from live B&M fish. Not saying that you are one! But so much of that stuff is way overrated.

do any of your idiots ever actually re-read what you type before you post it?

Like I said earlier I played live for years and then moved mostly to the internet. Reading people is the most over rated skill of live poker. Online players are superior mathematically and if they are overwhelmed initially by playing live it wouldn't take long for them to adjust.

Believe me it comes from someone who played live professionally for years and now plays on the internet. I have a unique perspective. I don't personally know anyone who has done both.

this maybe true, but im just curious. how will online players use thier tracking software in a B&M?

The true online donks wouldn't even make it into the poker room. They would stop off in the Keno Lounge to try to hit a 20 spot for 100k or get stuck on some annoying slot machine to sit at that and then totally forget all about poker.

Then what they would do is lose all their little hard earned donk money. Walk away from the casino claiming that Keno or that damn slot machine must be rigged, leave disgruntled proclaiming they are DONE with this stupid gambling forever...... but come back when they get a coupon for the free buffet!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Seriously a True Donk gets sidetracked by blinking lights, sounds, and the allure of what they COULD win which is why when you play them you take them to value town! So I think they sometimes have a hard time making it INTO the poker room, past the waiting list, and into a chair...

Its pretty obvious that most live players who play online and think they are good suck quite badly. They play online and lose money faster than they ever have before. They can't imagine they might suck at poker so the only logical reason is its RIGGED.

Then they go back to live poker and spread the word.

Yes, the brick & mortar casinos probably more staunchly support the ban than even you do.

Since you can only play 1 table at a time in a B&M, they'll keep what they need to in their head. I'm being serious...

I know many live pros who can't beat an online game, but do not know of a single online pro who doesn't consistently crush live games 2-3X's higher than his/her normal online limit. I think one of the main reasons is that online players are much more math orientated, but there could be other reasons.

I'm talking about the ones who DO make it into the poker room, NOT the donks. Take away online and you'll have more online *pros* showing up in live rooms. Since donks don't rely on poker for a living, they prolly won't even bother, except to make the occasional trip to a live room. You'll be playing with more online pros and you don't want that. Even if you are better than they are, the effect would be that your games might dry up. -IMO
