Short stay for Imsirovic in the PokerGo heads-up tournament. Lost to Jake Daniels in round 1. Ali Nejad mentioned the cheating allegations once and Brian Rast was not aware of them. They didn't discuss for long. Imsirovic denied the interview request from Jeff Platt.

lol. just came to post this. Ali literally jumped out of his seat and was out the door in less than 2 seconds (their table was nearest the doors) after the river card hit the felt. then a few seconds later he pops back in and goes to a side table where they must have been keeping all the players' cell phones and grabs his cell and beelines out the exit as fast as the first time.

You had it backwards. Today I had 2 old poker friends that haven't played at all since black Friday reach out, ask me if I have read what had been going on with the high roller cheating crap and are so happy they don't play at all anymore.

What Hastings did isn't in the same league as RTA, chip-dumping, stealing looks at cards, etc.

He used a VPN and played mixed games under someone else's account and won money.

Probably important to distinguish between multi-accounting when it means smurfing vs. when it means literally playing multiple accounts at the same time.

Ive never seen a poker player leave after busting , as quick as Ali did after busting the $25k heads up tourney.

Alright so we know for a fact that Ali Imsirovic and Jake Schindler are cheaters : RTA , multiaccount, ghosting etc... Some testimonies say that Chris Brewer and Rok Gostisa are teaming with them. All these 4 got banned from GGpoker on the same day 30/09/2020.
Now my question is why all these highstakers in this list above suddendly stopped playing around the same date (August -September 2020) ?
It seems that none of them played any games on GG since 2020, but some kept playing online on Partypoker and travel around the world for the biggest live tournaments .
(I know that GG shortened some names like for example Abraham Lincoln becomes A Lincoln, but still they have no games played since September 2020)

Sure, I agree, but playing as someone else using your own decisions is not even close to the same severity as using RTA. The only people who would draw an equivalence are those who lost to the account or have an axe to grind.

Whoa, let's slow down with the most poker players are scummy. I don't believe that in the tournament scene that is close to being true. I know and have since it's inception that online poker is foolish to play because of the multiple cheating avenue's available. I mean back to Ultimate Bet with Annie Duke. Sorry I have a thing about playing poker when the competition can see my hole cards.
I do however care about the game and a bunch of high stakes players cheating is very disturbing and bad for the overall game. I always wondered when I would watch some of these high stakes games years ago and see these players (unknowns) come out of nowhere and play in these high buy in events. I assumed that they were basically 2 scenario's, either they were rich and just could afford to play in these games or they cheated most likely via online and have all this money now from screwing innocent but I'm sorry, stupid people who play online.
Let's get tournament poker bigger than ever and get away from online poker, which in itself IMO is bad for the game.
For anybody that disagree's with me I guess this thread is my proof that it's bad for the game.

The games are insane variance, even if you cheat/collude your actual result can be millions + or - your ev
Esp with rta your ev can be say 3-20% in a mtt (which is a lot for small sngs),
Obv with multi acc and collusion you can massive increase the roi and decrease the variance lol

Also rta there’s a huge spectrum of a super top quality elite one to ones that are even losing (sites often experience cheaters using bad rta, similar as how many regs use pio legally and run bad sims)

Isaac Kempton just gave props to Foxen for calling out Ali as a pos cheater.

Kempton was interviewed by Jeff Platt after beating Scott Ball to reach the semis of the PokerGo Heads-Up Showdown. Platt asked Kempton who he'd like to meet in the next round (he gets the winner of Foxen v Justin Young) and Kempton said he looks up to Foxen and would like to play him. Kempton then gave Foxen props for showing the courage to out Ali as a cheater (and I must add as a thief ... ppl need to keep in mind that if the stories are true, Ali is a felon thief).
