I 've played with Boston in live cash many times. On any given session, especially if he is drinking, there's a 25% chance he gets into it with someone at the table. Regs usually just blah, but once in a while a new guy who doesn't know who he is (and by that I mean his hot head personality rather his poker prowess) really gets into it. Have seen the Wynn floor ask him to leave on several occasions before a fight breaks out.

I've also been on receiving end of some of his silly verbal abuse but it's mostly in good fun since I was a reg in that game.

He doesn't shy from live confrontation one bit and I've heard him make racial slurs on more than one occasion as well (usually while drunk). But for the most part he's a reasonable guy, solid 7-stud player, and quite the baller even for Vegas standards and invites people to his house.

I wouldn't bet against him in a fight, he's a health nut and everyone who doesn't know him thinks he's on roids, but he's really a gym nut (hmmm maybe roids as well).

Oh yeah his eyes always look like they're going to pop out! Kind of scary intensity!

The key difference here, kind sir, is that Gus and Dwan don't ever take time out to offer advice or answer questions so they rarely get to see the various obscenities, and even if they did...Gus isn't stupid and Dwan isn't gay. Whereas Alan can't help the way he looks. Please don't make me delve further into this.

Looks can't be helped. And Alan Boston's avatar is based (whether completely accurate or not) on how he looks. Quite clearly he's insecure about this as he keeps getting bashed for looking like an alien. The ratio of you look like an alien to your av looks like an alien is like fifty to one, so don't try that cottontail Bull***** with me it wont wash. You know very well that I'm referring to his personal feelings and you also know very well that this thread is basically cyber bullying. People get more offended to personal attacks on their looks more than anything else typically...Why? Because a lot of the time we can't change the way we look, not by natural means anyway. Personality can be altered via socialising more/less or by realising who your real friends are. I kind of have to agree with the sentiment that being mean to the guy is just uncalled for. why make fun of the way the guy looks? He is actually a pretty nice guy and yes his bald head and bulging eyes make him look a little like your stereotypical alien. But at least he takes time out of his day to play low limits and chat with with players on the site which is more than I can say for any of their other Red Pros. And yes he could turn off observer chat, but that kind of defeats his whole purpose of playing on the site. I dont honestly think he is trying to make a living by playing .25/.50 7 card stud, he is just having some fun playing cards and trying to teach, and chat with the players on the site (which if you believe the FTP slogan is his job). I can understand why he ends up getting upset with people for it, I am sure it was funny to him the first few hundred times but then he looks at things like this thread and it probably really hurt his feelings, so yeah he is gonna call out 2+2 because of threads like this one where it is 818 posts of people talking sh*t and laughing at him.
