Sorry guys I love AJ, BUT...

IF they booted him and somehow get Shana Hiatt on this show, then it would be the greatest move ever !

(also remember like season 1 or 2 where all AJ did the whole time was giggle at everything gabe said, and I don't mean a short laugh or anything, it was all out giggling.)

HSP is the only poker show I ever found interesting enough to watch. They had a proven winning formula, so why change it?

I almost feel like writing a complaint, but it would not hold a lot of weight considering that I'm not going to lie : I don't watch the show regularly.

Sadly, according to his blog post, AJ offered to do the show for LESS money than he received for season 5. So this really just pisses me off. Also, if you read his post, it seems he is pretty upset about losing the gig, and even says it will cause him financial hardship.

Gabe says some funny things sometimes but listening to him attempt to strategize is pure death. I'm afraid VR is going to be even worse.

They're both supposed to be analysts, where's the play-by-play person in this arrangement? Does Gabe switch to pbp and Rousso does alanlysis?

You can't have them both in the booth. Because they'd do the same job.

It also makes no sense from "a female addition to the show" point of view. If she's in the booth w/ Gabe you don't see her but for a few seconds coming in or out of breaks.

My guess is the set-up will be identical to PAD.

Gabe = Ali
VR = Leeann Tweeden

They get together on camera at the start and end of the show.

And I only hope they ask someone that knows **** about the game, not some tits with a fake smile. I also think kaplan is gonna be way to distracted by this.

I do like the girl that does PAD somehow... Maybe thats because she shuts up most of the time. And her questions (prewritten, I know) seem somehow sofisticated.

neither could AJ. that was the entire point.

hsp is not meant to be a show were you are bored to death at insanely dumbed down and very often ridiculously wrong strategic analysis like most other shows. its commentators having fun and calling the action.

thats exactly why hsp was a million miles ahead of any other show, and also why having vanessa rousso/jen harman would suck ass.

Personally i would like to see a player from a previous or future session in the booth for each episode.
In the UK they do this on the Party Poker Premier League and other shows. One of the 12 competitors joins Jesse May in the booth and this has led to some interesting shows.
FFS there was a whole thread on here dedicated to durrr's commentary and the insight he gave.
I think this would work brilliantly. Having Doyle, durrr or Sammy Farha talking about the game. Only way this wouldnt work would be if the had Patrik in there and he is talkin as much as he did at the start of his session last season.

I can't believe everyone loves AJ so much. He was really dumb, no offense. He didn't understand anything about poker and constantly made stupid comments when he tried. He also was on auto-laugh at all of Gabe's jokes, and maybe that was his role, but I still think they are not dumb in removing him; they are removing the onlyiest weak element of that whole show.

By the way, in his blog, AJ takes credit for making the show #1, LOL. He also said he tried to manipulate the bosses by appealing to their being fathers, and he said they would be putting a father "on the street". Really? On the street?

This guy being gone is GOOD news for the show.
