Thanks PPA and Rich Muny!

Have a question for all you guys:

I logged in and checked my AP balance. It's about 8-10k short or 80% of the total. I can remember freaking out on BF and hitting a max withdrawal the day of. If I remember correctly, max withdrawal for me was $8k.

So my working theory is that it was deducted from my balance and never paid. I have no proof of this, but seems about right.

Unfortunately, I decided to clean out my inbox last year and all the emails from AP are gone.

Here's my questions:

A. Since I erased my emails, I have no evidence. Is there any other type of evidence I may be overlooking?

B. With the stated facts above, what are my options in terms of pursuing these funds?

C. What would you do?

Thanks!

jungleman getting paid money rightfully owed to him = the online poker landscape moving in a positive direction.

Bovada is running an over/under on when AP fraud victims get paid and the line is set at July 4th.

The very first step is to give them a call. They may have the info right there.

If they don't have information in your account that can help, you can always dispute your balance. As you note, you don't have evidence, but you can anything you have, like copies of your bank statements showing you didn't receive any withdrawals. You can also sent in a statement with a dispute.

I didn't even win a ton of money on there, but I'm labeled a pro and have to produce things that are vague and don't even make any sense. Everyone I speak to just re-quotes the same thing over and over.

"if a player designated as an Affiliate and/or Professional believes they have transactions that did not result from their Affiliate and/or Professional Player status, they can dispute the designation. If you dispute your Affiliate and/or Professional Player designation, you must submit documentation, such as complete and unaltered copies of pro-time and rakeback reports, emails or other online messages, written correspondence, screenshots, player account histories, and bank statements. A written explanation may also be included in order to address the details of the transactions."

Screenshots of what? Communication with who? Bank statements from 6 years ago showing what?

Just makes zero sense. I'd like to get my money too.
I replied to a similar question earlier ITT and I don't really have anything additional yet.

There are two definitions in the FAQ. One is, "A Professional Player is any player who earns a majority of their income from playing poker, or is known in the industry as a Professional, as approved by the Department of Justice." The other definition is that of a sponsored pro.

The FAQ gives details on how to dispute this. For those who never received compensation for playing (other than rakeback), I'd call and let them know. If that doesn't solve it, send in a letter stating non-sponsored status and any relevant documentation as described in the FAQ (it's hard to prove a negative, which I believe they understand from their FTP experience).

To satisfy the first definition, perhaps provide some evidence of other income, a status of being retired, etc. I suspect they are looking more at sponsored pros than they are about those who derive a living from poker, but I don't really want to speculate at this point.

As we learn more, we'll post info. I assume they'll update the FAQ regularly as well.

Seems rather obvious they're talking about pros affiliated with the site.

I hope so, but the language in the FAQ is ambiguous and I don't want to speculate on the meaning until we get a response from GCG.

I called yesterday and gave the guy on the phone my account details but he couldn't find the correct accounts and has escalated my request. I should hear back in a couple of days.
I'm hoping so far they just happen to be looking at old accounts with a few $s in and will find the accounts, each with almost 5 figures in soon.
Anyone else been in this situation?
They managed to find the account I was interested in after a couple of phone calls and a further email.
In my dealings with them so far they've been very helpful.
Thanks again to all those who've helped make this possible and I hope everyone who had money frozen gets it back......even darbud

Wouldn't the deleted emails still reside on the hard drive, and be recoverable by a computer pro? (if not cost-prohibitive)

Had some low 4 figure amount in my account, but got this message:

Quote:
Based on your account history, you have been designated an Affiliate or Professional Player. All transactions for players designated as an Affiliate and/or Professional Player are presumed to be Affiliate or Professional in nature and result in a default account balance of $0.00.
I was an FTP red pro (and received ~42% of the money I had on the site) and made all of my income from poker in 2006-2011, but I was never sponsored by UB/AP, and never an affiliate there. I was a college student when I first made my account, but I was not enrolled after 2007. Am I just screwed? Would be weird to get paid a portion of my money by the site I was sponsored by and not get paid any of my AP balance where I wasn't sponsored.

I also have no way to verify what my exact balance was at the time AP stopped running ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

missy had no affiliation with UB/AP that I can recall, he was just the ultimate endboss crusher of fish at HU cash. He had the sickest PTR (rip) of all time. I hope his case is resolved and he gets back the money he deserves.

Sounds like a lot of people are expecting 100%, but I'm not an expert on the matter.

Full tilt didn't give me 100% back. Only around 2/3 of my real total.

Pretty sure if your on raketherake then its tagged as an affiliate account... Kind of scummy they won't pay back to players that got rake back. Maybe contact rake the rake to see if they can do anything to maybe remove your account so you can get your funds.

I know some peeps, who were props with 100% rakeback, are showing 100% of the balance and not being classified as "pro/affiliate."

this is hilarious. he/she was just another average joe bumhunter. Didn't play anyone good, which is excellent discipline, but doesn't make you an "endboss"
