are we talking about backing him lifetime or in this specific game? im not hating on him, but if i were to back someone in this game he is definitely not on the top of list ESPECIALLY because he isnt anywhere near as experienced in omaha as most of the other players.

I think he's plenty experienced and a proven winner. I'd be more worried about his lack of live noseleed cash game experience relative to the others. Same with Rast, trex313, and galfond. a little less so with dwan ...

he's a huge plo fish and has barely played any hands of high stakes PLO!

and any backing of raptor in nl holdem would be veryp rofitable imo, backing him in a mixed holdem omaha game would be quite -ev. the guy put 200bb in preflop with QQxx aka 90k

and btw i think the live vs. online debate is exaggerated. get me a great player and i'll take them on any court. just look at what rafael nadal did today at wimbledon. people said serve and vollyers are superior to baseliners on grass. nadal serve n voleyed just ONCE in five sets ... and still won. champions are champions no matter what environent. it just takes some time to adjust to their new surroundings. the game doesn't change and their skill don't change. the environment just alters which they can adapt to in time. i think these tv pros are shaking in their pants because the mainstreaming of poker is going to attract better and better players at all levels. when you threaten someone, they'll either kiss a** (while cursing you under their breath) or full frontal attack you. i see tv pros doing a little bit of both.

online poker is like grass court tennis (court is faster, ball bounces lower, game is faster, more precise, ball skids, etc etc). live poker is like clay court tennis (slower, more room for error, higher bounce, etc.). reading skills and tells are xtra advantages similar to clay court advantages of xtra time to pick apart an opponent. again, grass or clay, get me a great player anyday.

Federer on clay or Nadal on grass over average top 100 pro on either ...

i'll go further and say that it's possibly the worst post ever

...you see, online players are like the boston red sox, whereas live players are like the new york yankees, and therefore

lmao at you guys trying to hate on raptor.
A) he'd crush your soul and hating on him don't make that not so.
B) ya'll would be lucky to have a piece of him in pretty much any game.

absolutely correct,

but may i add that this session will help add to the sample of "who is better?online or live players"?

a few hundred more of these stellar sessions should settle the debate. we'll all be dead by then.

i dont know which realm is the best (and quite frankly dont care) but tom dwan is pretty damn good when it comes to plo and nlh.

this 800k+ loss over the past 30 days in nlh is just unavoidable variance from a player as aggressive as tom.

when it comes to nlh and plo combined, tom dwan and antonius are the 2 best players in the world.......and i still give a tiny edge to tom. ive seen patrik tilt a few times but i never seen tom tilt.

and when i say patrik tilted a few times (2 or 3 times at the most) thats from watching him for the last few years online.

anyway, i'm high and it sure is fun typing meaningless ****.

Well I am at bellagio and I only see farha, tran and some others I do not recognize. There is a list with devilfish, "david B" and greenstein.

Im pretty sure I saw Durrr tilt the other day. He lost a 110ish bb stack in plo 40k game and then lost almost like everyhand he played spewing off 20bb stack after 20bb stack and after a few minutes of that just left every table he was on.

yes, i am high.

yes, i believe in tom and patrik 100% when it comes to both having good nlh and plo skills. name someone who can play both games better please.

i know you'll probably say ivey and i wont argue with that. ivey has kind of owned patrik but i also think ivey has patrik's number and patrik knows it too.

it makes a difference imo.

ok, your turn

this could be true but how do you know that the hands he played were titly? maybe he left his tables to go out for hookers and blow.

this is possible, amirite?

i wish this was really true just so we could get the feel of an update.

tom never seemed the type to quit very easily.

so seriously, if someone can get some real updates, that would be great.
