So where do I physically take cash to load the WSOP+ app?

Not sure if this has been covered elsewhere so I'll throw it here anyway. There's a simple new way to electronically pay for WSOP tournaments this year by funding your Bravo account with a service called PayFiniti. It's ACH, so you link your bank account to the app, transfer funds in, and pay for your tournaments that way. Sounds like a great way to avoid the 2.95 percent fee Bravo whacks you with to pay with a credit card...right? Nope.

Payfiniti and Bravo won't tell you until you've created a new Payfiniti account and tried to fund it, but there's a 2.5 percent fee for deposits from your bank into the app.

That's ridiculous. You can sort of justify the fee for credit cards because Bravo gets charged by the credit card companies. But 2.5 percent for ACH? Absurd. Payfiniti is entitled to a profit, of course, but it should be a flat fee that is meaningfully less expensive than using a credit card. It was going to cost me $47.25 (including the $3 add-on WSOP fee) to register for the Milly Maker with a credit card. Doing so with Payfinit would cost me $40.50, including the $3 add-on WSOP fee.

Not sure if it's different for international players, but Payfiniti is not a worthwhile option for Americans unless you don't have a credit card, or are going to spend enough on entry fees this summer that the .45 percent savings to use the app makes it worth the pain in the ass of funding it. I'm planning on spending a modest $4k or so on entry fees this summer (I play more cash than tournaments), which would save me a staggering $18 if I used Payfiniti rather than my credit card. The 1.5 percent cash back I get on my credit card makes paying that way a much better deal than Payfiniti .

Hard pass on Payfiniti.

You can deposit cash at the WSOP cage into your TBIC account for free, not sure why people mess with all these other gouge-services.

It's because paying with cash means traveling with cash, and that brings no small number of risks.

The downside is the dealers are mostly awful and with double board bomp pots and people running it twice with a bad dealer you don't get many hands in. For 2 nights it's tolerable, if I had to do that every day for a few weeks I'd lose my mind.
Thanks for the replies guys! Im guessing Bravo is the go to place to see the lists at the various casinos?

Not sure exactly the acronym but something like Tournament Buy In Account (or Credit). Once you open and deposit into your TBIC, you can use the app and kiosks to reg/get seat card, avoiding the long reg lines at times.

One thing to note, you can always deposit more into your TBIC, but you can’t withdraw unless you withdraw it all and close out your TBIC. Probably related to banking regulations since it’s not a bank account per se. So you just close it out at the end of series or whenever the end of series is for you.

Thanks! Is this also connected to the WSOP+ app? Is that the same as the TBIC account and the same as using the kiosk?

Not sure about WSOP+, but you need to verify your identity in person to open a TBIC, there is a special TBIC window in Paris in the VIP/Payout cage, not the main registration line cage. Once you verify your identity they open a TBIC for you, you deposit what you want, it’s tied to your Caesar’s rewards number so you then can use the app (WSOP+ ?) to register for tournaments, it’ll list TBIC as method of payment/registration. Then print out seat cards at kiosks located throughout WSOP. There’s a $3 convenience fee to reg via app/kiosk, but well worth it if normal lines are 1 hour long.

Truth be told last year was first year I did the TBIC thing, so there are probably others here who do it every year who can offer more details etc.

Use a wire. Says a 25 flat fee. Banks also charge like 15, depending.

I believe WSOP+ was used for the WSOP in Atlantis but wonÂ’t be used for the Nevada WSOP. I have a WSOP+ account and there is nothing about the upcoming series available on that app. As others have said setting up a TBIC account or whatever theyÂ’re called is the best way to go. Deposit money, and use that money all summer to buy in to events.

Am I reading FAQs correctly that tournament buyins can be paid for with a debit/credit card without a fee?

According to the FAQ, you can cancel an event until "tickets printed for the event or up until 24 hours before the event has started".

Maybe my memory isn't correct, but I thought we were able to cancel an event even after a tournament started. I remember people "cancelling" when the line for a table was too long.

Maybe WSOP is eliminating the table draw check freeroll.

This was the case at this years circuit events. I was surprised, but bought into an event with my rewards card. It was listed on my statement as a gift card purchase.

You can get a one time courtesy refund for a no-show. But realistically, you can probably go to the cage multiple times for a refund as long as they don't think you're abusing it or its a pattern.

Its 2.95/3.95% from bravo cc fees but its charged as a regular purchase so no fees from the cc on your side, they just passing the payment processing fee over to us.

There was no additional fee at the circuit event I attended. Only the tournament entry was billed to my CC. This was in person reg, no Bravo.
