2011 - The Year that Hated Poker. 2011 - The Year that Hated Poker.

Well what a year it has been,

Poker was on a major upswing, SCOOP, WSOP all upcoming, booming it was fish were a swimming and money was floating from side to side.

Then things started to leak and 2+2 was at the center of it all. BOOM. Black Friday, Boom Stars pay players open back up. Boom FTP does not pay back players, comes back takes the ROW money too, and takes off, nice.

Then Cheating scandals, after scandal, Im really surprised online poker is still alive (even tho I play everyday only on Stars obvs, where my money "I Think" is safe, even tho all these things going down now are really scary and makes it look like they really really need money?? really? really? imo. lol.)

Then UB/AP are done, obvs can't believe ppl played there after the scandal was broke that ofc I read 1st on 2+2 as well. Then they leaked all customer personal info, one last shot of their ******edness of their business.

And now to top it all off PokerStars gives players one last kick it the pants the end the year on a horrible note, that being said like I said above thats what makes me scared, that they need all the extra money, probby just to stay afloat, remember DOJ after taking hundreds of millions of dollars from stars over the last 3 years , also they had to pay back players in the USA, and everyone else that mass cashed out, (they say they had the player funds but who really knows all those millions in rake made over the years was probby saved and used for this time, now its rebuilt mode again. ) This is probby true because FTP had to raise money too, b4 they left, RUSH, MULTI ENTRY RAKE CHANGE TO WC etc. etc.

Now Stars coming out with new rake, and the new "rush" product, they already put up every rake on the sng's after BF, also stars coming out with a new Flighted tnry style, which gives players 1A,1B,1C,1D,1E etc they all stop at a certain time and all players left enter the "final tnry" everyone of those abcde etc can be played by any player even if you busted the 1a or 1b etc, so they are getting way more rake for one tnry now, by running 4 , 5, or 6 trnys into one main tnry, almost like multi entry but not. lol

Scary stuff for me but ill continue to play, even tho I don't play cash at all, I feel for you guys a lot. But I am sure Ill be feeling the pain when they put up the rakes on MTTs. ]

Well this is all my 2cents just wanted to rant as I do from time to time.

Peace out and Happy New Years everyone and all the best in 2012!

Hopefully we get some new poker sites out there that cater to players. I do have a idea tho for Stars.

charge everyone that plays cash at 29.99 monthly fee and keep the rewards the same but cut the rake % in half. Hey i can wish for a happy new years for you cash guys. lol!

I Confirmed my theory in 2011 that online pros have more overall poker talent/skills than strictly live cash game pros. Having played 2.5 years online pre black Friday, and 8.5 months live cash games since, the theory is confirmed. Live full ring pros are lolololbad, and they have far less overall talent than their online counterparts.

2012 will be equal to this one or just worse

Higher Rake, Isildur 1 busting, No Nosebleed Show, and we will get a online regulation in my country in March, in which we can just play vs our compatriots... **** year

If one good thing come out of 2011 for poker is that we all now know (well we all should know) that no online poker site can really be trusted, even tho I only play on Stars , I know now that obvs my money is never really safe ( even tho I deposit and run it up and cashout w/o in problems) that's not to say there will not be problems in the future cause 90% of people never saw this coming what happened this year.

Thank god 2+2 was there the whole way breaking and making moves as we the players(the ones that truly keep the game alive) are coming together as one as we should be! Its our game and we need to keep it alive and well and have our voices heard!

That the in my mind kinda makes 2011 the best year, because we all now know that we together as one will and can change anything because we are the ones that make poker survive , if you really truly think about it!

Anyways here is to the best 2012 may poker live forever, and 2+2 be there every step of the way

later on my dudes, pwning on Stars now Multi's 4ever! Binging one or two before new years would make my 2011, LOL!

Happy New Year's everyone!

I'm optimistic about making real progress in 2012

but preparing for a second 'boom' is a bit premature imo

I can't imagine poker is going to be a priority in Washington, especially on an election year

maybe in 2013, but I just can't see anything too dramatic happening overnight.

The US needed cashing out $120m, Pokerstars made a withdrawal....no conspiracy, just safe from preying foreign governments and original deposits on hand

happy new year
