The method should work for you as well. Just make sure to follow these steps:

1. First of all you need the great free & open source media player "XBMC Media Center". Get it for your OS from here: http://xbmc.org/download/

4. Install the desired plugin(s) under SYSTEM -> Add-ons -> Get Add-ons -> bluecop Add-on Repository -> Video Add-ons -> ESPN3 in this case (there's a lot of others to select like CBS, TNT, Hulu...). Click Install and wait a moment for the confirmation pop-up.

Courtesy of dahlSTROM who's somehow been able to find a way to get around ESPN3's restrictions.

Extract the file "default.py" and use it to replace the original one. But don't forget to close XBMC Media Center before you do it.

Windows 7 and Vista users find the file to be replaced at:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\addons\pl ugin.video.espn3

(I guess) Windows XP users go to:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\XBMC\addons\plugin.video.espn3

Of course you need to replace <username> with your windows username. Unfortunately I don't know what are the paths on Linux or Mac OS.

6. Check out if it's working by navigating to the channel. From the home menu, go to VIDEO -> Video Add-ons -> ESPN3. Now a list with different categories appears. Select "Live" for jumping directly onto ESPN3's current feeds. There are also a ton of replays to select from.
