It was actually a 1.2M SNG. You'd have to walk a little further to prove that is worse to advertise "for only $5, with a lucky spin, you could be playing two opponents for your share of 1.2M" than to only advertise "you could turn $5 into $1,000,000".
It is along the lines of the WSOP gang who doesn't help chops who are subsequently bent on their $10 million for first, no matter the payout structure damage at the FT. Player funded advertising at its worst, to hit a round number. If the $63 million prize pool wasn't enough to draw people, putting $10 million on top drove 1000's of extra entries... no, actually it didn't seem to.
