That 'non refundable' **** is ridiculous and an angle to prevent angles. Fine the OP shouldn't get the funds, but 2nd place should. Anyone else that gets the funds is stealing. If 2nd place can't make it then 3rd place and on and on until someone in that MTT plays the seat.

If 2nd place does not play the seat then 1st should get cash value and on and on. OR refund the entire tournament.

Titan poker should not benefit from this. Whoever they bought into the MTT was most likely not 2nd place in the mtt, and was probably some pro they signed last minute or an employee or whoever, but not the right person.

The nice thing to do would be to refund the 12.5k minus expenses incurred by the site. The best thing would have been to have 2nd place play if possible and refund the $535 to 1st place. But probably too last minute.
The minimum should have been a full refund of the entire MTT less expenses incurred by the site.

The dishonest thing to do would be to tell your customer to **** off and give the buyin to someone else.

But I am hardly surprised.

Just don't understand why nearly every poker site refuses to treat its customers decently. You'd think it was bad business or something, except that hundreds of companies have succeeded in the past decade based alone on their emphasis on customer satisfaction and a positive user experience.

I used to play at Titan, and this is exactly the behaviour I would expect of them (and 99% of the ipoker skins TBH). I would be astonished if they gave you anything OP, but that is not going to happen.

excellent post. So i guess what happened at full tilt, could be summarized thus:

-US players play at illegal site
-US players don't care about site being illegal
-Site steals everyones money
-whining ensues

am I right?

The problem here its that they dont really care as long as they have players spending money in their site, and they know that a sue action against them will take forever and will be very expensive. And what its funny, its some players even defend the site. They already win the rake, and thats all they should win, nothing more.
