Question about rake. I don't play tournaments so was curious as to what is considered a normal rake? The donkfests at my local casino usually have 20% or even higher rakes (which is why I don't play tournaments), so 11% doesn't sound that unreasonable. Is the normal rake for a WSOP event usually less than 11%?

in huge buy in events, the rake is a much lower %, as they are not giving the players the structure...

eg

EPT SUPER HIGH ROLLER
€98,000 + €2,000 (approx 2%)

AUSSIE MILLIONS 250k CHALLENGE
$245,000 + $5000 (approx 2%)

so this 11% is really high, even more so in a $1,000,000 buy in, but as Guy says, its for the charity!

EPT and Aussie Millions 2% rake went back to tournament organizer as profit. 11% for one drop is donation. Ceasars or WSOP will not making a dime out of $56 million buy-in!!!

Last year after winning $18million. Antonio accepted his bracelet, made a speech about how worthwhile the charity was, and gave them an additional ....... $111k

Without wanting to sound rude, but how much NLH do you play?

Do you think you'd have an edge on the field?

1) Fill Out Perfect NCAA Bracket

2) Collect 1B from Buffet

3) Take 1000 shots at 1 drop donkament

4) ???

5) Profit

what makes you so sure about that?
also, even if none of the rake goes directly to ceasars/wsop, you can rest assured they are printing $$$ with this.

Read it somewhere.
(Don't know if it was a news on a french forum, on WSOP site, One drop site or here but whatever, i'm close to 100% sure all the rake goes to One drop).

Think it was the same on the little one for one drop 1111$.

Rake is 10% on a 1000$ WSOP (900+100) on the 10k ME i think there is 300$ rake.

Totally wrong. Wsop took $100 per player in little drop. 900 to pool.
