Well yea, I'm personally annoyed because I wanted to gamble on it. But objectively speaking, surely raising awareness for the charity and event would be a good thing? It seems like things are so chaotic in the lead up just to get registrations settled that they aren't able to do any PR.

Kevmath tweeted today: "@allinfor1drop So that people hopefully stopping [sic] bugging me, will an official list of players be made public before play starts Sunday?"

So obviously a lot of people--people who could potentially instead be learning about the charity itself--want this information. It just seems like there's as much confusion as excitement, which is not really what a charity event would want a day before it kicks off.

By he way, Kevmath got a response that said this:

"@Kevmath we really want to- got to see with @WSOP, will keep you posted before official start at 1:11pm tomorrow"

Not sure what that means, but I guess we will know before the cards are dealt. Anyway, I was just wondering if I had missed something. Guess I came across as too hyper. Oh well. I'll breathe.

Saw the ESPN promo ad for this event last night - gobsmacked that it completely failed to mention the buyin is $1m. I mean, you'd think this would be one event you can't possibly **** up the advertising for - it writes itself. But they managed it.

will it be televised?

Ivey will be in the event if he didn't already buy a seat. There is no way anyone is going to say to Phil Ivey if he offers them $1,050,000 and 5% of himself that he can't have the seat.

A million dollars is a lot of money to any professional who isn't Phil Ivey or Daniel Negreanu. You guys really think anyone is going to take a shot in one drop over a over a million dollar win in the series?

Ivey's playing IMO

Seats have no cash value and are non-transferable.

Players already registered for the Big One for One Drop event are not eligible to participate.
Lets see if Ivey will play

^^ They got rid of that rule around midnight yesterday.

No sympathy for those that missed it because of the cap. It isn't like they kept the cap a secret and revealed it after the 48th entrant, so if you waited until 2 days before start to enter and didn't get in, too bad.

That said, the cap is too low and in general not a very good idea.

If Bill Perkins wins this I'm giving up poker.

No, JRB! Guess he was just looking for attention like usual!

Field is what was to be expected. Only big suprise is Brandon Steven (November 9 Bubble Boy) is playing. He must be a pretty rich businessman!

Kinda stupid not to let more people in. It's charity for god sake. Seriously though, what is the main reason/reasons there is a cap? Official word on why?

No JRB though, Ben Lamb confirmed JRB was playing under the same backer.

Guess the backer decided not to light the money on fire!
