Nobody occupies these spots, because it's Trump.

The only people who you'd find in such a list are one-offs that have no real desire to win and just some sort of personal agenda/product to push, kind of like Trump in 2016 when he fell ass backward into the Oval.

Without 20 other people running like in 2016 GOP primary, that kind of lightning can't strike twice.

The betting odds actually say there is somewhere between 20-25% chance that it's not Trump, which is somewhat higher than I expected.

As for PGUK's question, it appears Mike Pence and Nikki Haley are fairly close in 2nd/3rd, with Romney some way back in 4th but a fair bit clear of the rest of the field.

predictit now pegs the house to impeach at around 80% before the end of the first term / senate at around 20%.

how likely is it that the senate votes on impeachment before the end of the first term though? seems like this is all going at a snails pace but i can imagine there being some scenarios where republicans actually push for it to happen earlier because of the potential of losing seats in the senate, making it a lot more likely later on.

if the house votes, and the senate doesn't vote before the end of the term... assuming trump wins, does the house vote carry over into the second term, or is it something that has to pass all over again?
