probably way more likely that he was an far-right conservative who thought trump was an establishment sellout, or a moderate republican who thought trump was too extreme, or just someone who snapped and wanted to do something crazy, than a 20yo did some 5d martyr chess move

he may or may not be a republican. im not American so i don't even really know what a registered republican is and being registered to a party sounds really ****ing stupid to me. but he did it 3 years ago when he couldn't even legally vote and later apparently also donated to biden. We don't know anything about his politics other then his actions and the most important recent action is him shooting trump.

I can make up a pretty good story since I heard his dad and mom are registered to different party's and separated for two years. Guys daddy gets him to sign up as a republican at 17. Parents break up one year later lives with dem mom because of the breakup and he sides with mom because thats generally what children do in that situation he becomes more politicly involved he lashes out at daddy by trying to kill his idol!

now this is obviously bullshit without alot of evidence but it sure sounds good! unless somethings came out in the last 6 hours we have nothing to go on.

You didn't answer the question of why it's an "insane claim" to assert that someone who is a registered republican is in fact a republican.

so we have. either a) he's a registered republican, wearing a 2a miltia'y tshirt, who's friends have all said he was outspokenly conservative who once made a 15dollar donation on a website on Biden's inauguration day, and voted repub in 2022. or b) whatever **** you just made up.

he didn't donate to biden. on the day biden was inaugurated he apparently donated $15 to some scam pac that was like "do you agree that biden should pardon trump? if yes, give us money"
