For the leader of a country yes, especially when the costume is an innuendo that he's a superhero saving the planet from climate change.

Lmao. This is amazing. Shifty gets all mad that the liberals co-opted the democrats “weird” campaign. But conservatives (and GOP) also did this. Badly. And so now he is having to insist that a 2017 innocuous Halloween costume is actually so “weird” it’s totally reasonable that conservatives are mocking it in 2024 for being weird and no hypocrisy at all.

Never change shifty, never change.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing . When Justin's on vacation the scandals tend to slow up till we find out what million $ trip he took this time

Weird.

Conservatives are weird.

No I didn't, I said I hope they keep doing it. You made a post saying it's sad "MAGA politics" is coming to Canada. Then 2 days later liberals copy the Democrats.

Yes, I was calling the picture YOU posted weird because it is. I was replying because YOU posted it, YOU. It is a weird picture though, but not as weird as his black face ones.

lol it is weird that you can’t follow a conversation. After you weirdly got mad at liberals for calling things weird, I posted a thread with your conservative buddy doing the “weird” bit too. She was the one dredging up the 2017 thing and weirdly calling a Halloween costume weird. Not me. Then you weirdly doubled down and seemed to agree with her. Haloween costumes weren’t weird, buddy. It’s weird that you and her think so.

I would suggest you try to find an actual criticism of your political enemies and stop this weird hypocrisy. If nothing else because you aren’t good at it.

Like many other professionals .

Hell even many journalists lost their job because of one tweet or Facebook publication lol.

But I guess when it’s a leftish journalist , university teacher , or w.e then polievre do not care much about freedom of speech ….

lmao OF COURSE shifty is going to lap up the performative nonsense of Poilievre. Like what exactly is the plan, to use the notwithstanding clause to overrule the supreme court of Canada? Ya buddy, voting for Poilievre isn't going to make you or anyone else an iota more "free".

Ya buddy voting for Trudeau isn't going make an iota of difference to climate change.

That's pretty silly. The suite of policies on Trudeau and Poilievre on climate change is a MASSIVE difference. You can make silly arguments about, say, Canada alone not being able to singlehandedly change a global problem but in terms of Canada either doing its part or not doing its part it is night and day.

But on "free"...ya unless you are suggesting the notwithstanding clause then neither politician would make a single different on the peterson case. Get mad at the supreme court I guess which made the (pretty obviously legally correct) decision.

Society holds teachers to a higher standard than the average person, who might be able to get away with behaving badly or speaking out of turn when they’re off the clock, said Benjamin Kutsyuruba, an educational policy and law professor at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ont.

“Unlike some other professions that enjoy greater anonymity, the teaching profession is held to a greater standard of care because of the nature of their work and their role of teaching children and other vulnerable persons,” Kutsyuruba said.

Terminating an employee “for cause”: Irwin explained that an employee’s social media activity could lead to a termination for cause if it violates their employer’s social media policies. “Employees need to be very cognizant of their social media use. A breach of social media policy is not necessarily ’cause.’ Cause depends on whether that post is impacting a company’s reputation and goodwill.”
Impact on employer’s reputation: Employees in a high-profile position or a public-facing position should be even more wary of their online conduct. “This impact would be heightened if the employee has a high-profile position, and their social media accounts easily connect them to their employer.”

Does that sound like quitting ?

Just obviously the far right isnt well informed in the matter if they think peterson case is anything special.

Quitting is the act of leaving a job permanently. Like resigning, you leave your place of employment voluntarily. Typically, you quit and leave the premises right away without providing your employer with a formal notice.

btw being fired by a specific employer is NOT THE SAME as losing your license to work in that sector, with ANY employer (or by yourself) for life
