You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Yeah, Elon came across very solidly when he accused him of lying because he can't come up with an example of hate speech off the top of his head. LOL. Any time I get pulled over to Twitter because of a link, I read hateful replies all the time (both before and after Elon's ownership). I couldn't recall a single specific one within a day or two, let alone weeks later. Accusing someone of lying because they can't do so is ridiculous.

Neither one looked great. Reporter was clearly unprepared and easily rattled, but I didn't hear anything with which he "came across full of it".

People also ask
What does so literally mean?
: in a literal sense or manner: such as. : in a way that uses the ordinary or primary meaning of a term or expression. He took the remark literally. a word that can be used both literally and figuratively. used to emphasize the truth and accuracy of a statement or description.

The reporter was attempting to bash Elon's company, and when called out he had nothing. How else should Elon have responded?

Serious question, how do you find all these really derpy Twitter accounts with minimal followers? I don't think I could find Arbitrage Andy no matter how much I tried (without knowing his user name). How did you come across his account for instance. Thanks in advance. I mean I guess follow him and get his newsletter that he shills over and over. He earned that.

The cool thing about Twitter is you get exposure to all sorts of information from all kinds of different feeds. You can just scroll past it, not need to subscribe to anything.

Sure, but I suspect you get directed to a lot of Twitter accounts just like that. I thought it was a pretty fringy Twitter account for Lozen when I asked him about it (surprised me a bit when I thought he was the one who found it), but I did not think I had to ask you about it when he clarified the situation, as it seemed about right for your type of Twitter consumption. Subscribe to the dude's newsletter, he earned it.

All the best.

There is no algorithm guiding (dictating) based on your preference ?

Of course there is an algorithm. There is on every social media site.

Doesn’t compute to me .
Algorithm specifically prevent a big gap in a wide spectrum of different feed usually …..

Well, at least you've shown you know how to look up the definition. You should consider applying it to future use.

This isn't complicated. Reporter can't recall a specific example, move on rather than calling him a liar based on nothing. It's a silly question anyway, given that the reporter recalling one, ten, or one thousand specific examples would prove exactly nothing aside from how good his memory and/or preparation was. It was nothing more than a deflection technique.

Lol, the reporter claimed hate speech has increased since Musk bought Twitter. Then went around in circles when he got called out on it. It's exactly what Elon should do when the reporter obviously had an agenda with the question in the first place.

Someone's Twitter feed I read retweeted it. I didn't even look what account was because who cares.

i mean if u encounter a total stranger in the street and he swear to you that everything he says is 100% true even tho it sound crazy .
Would u believe him on the spot ?
that is , to me at least, what social media are....no better then the first stranger i meet on the street.

While I can't say for sure whether it's accurate or not because I gave up on that cesspool some time ago, there have been some studies saying the same thing, so it's not like this is some radical idea unique to this reporter.

But regardless, none of this changes the fact that Musk's "question" was nothing but deflection, and the fact that the reporter couldn't recall an instance off the top of his head was indicative of...nothing.

The reporter was clearly not prepared and should have been ready to answer Elon's question. If he was interfering Trump and said Mr Trump you distort the truth often and he says no I don't give me an example you better have one .

Yes, I mentioned that he was unprepared. That doesn't change the fact that Musk was deflecting with the question, and calling the reporter a liar was petulant.

You guys really are excited to defend Musk on this.

I actually I did not like the liar comment as well. I could have done a better job interviewing Elon. First I wouldn't have my questions on a phone and be prepared. It was a 20 minute interview and Id be curious if he asked him

Elon you bought twitter as you felt free speech was being denied yet your banning people you do not like as well
Id like to see the full interview. I am not excited to defend Elon but liked the fact he made the reporter look bad

I admire Elon for buying Twitter and the fact he said he did it to defend free speech but than bans folks he doesn't like or for what they say. Its hypocritical your basically doing the exact thing you were against

Probably because they've been caught lying more than not about a lot of things, especially over the past few years. People just dislike and don't trust journalist. It's good things like Twitter allow people to see them get called out on their BS.

Deflecting by asking him give an example so he could properly answer the question?

In his really awkward manner, the reporter hadn't actually got around to a question yet, but presumably it was going to be something about there not being enough people to moderate hate speech. If that's the case, how was an example going to help Musk answer the question? I mean, we both know the reporter could have easily answered it had he brought an example with him. There's no question he'd be able to, because on a massive platform like Twitter there's always going to be examples of hate speech at any given moment of time, no matter who was in charge. So if the reporter gives him one example, or ten, or fifty, how will that enable Musk to answer the question in a way that he can't without it?

Honestly, I'd probably fall into the same sophomoric debate club trap the journalist did. I've personally seen quite a bunch of hateful speech on twitter as well. I've read a number of articles tracking various ways it has risen or not risen since musk took over twitter. I don't know I have specific precise instance of a quote from a handle that I could give you off the top of my head. I don't think being able to or not able to shouldn't make a difference. Sure, the journalist should have been a bit more prepared because, hey, I'm not a journalist and it doesn't matter if I don't have that specificity in my memory.

Basically, if you already are part of a social media echo chamber that likes seeing journalists be pwned and doesn't like or trust them, then this is great red meat for you. But it isn't as shocking a fail as ya'll seem to think.

Lol, the reporter literally said HIS account has received more hate speech since Elon took over. Then when asked he couldn't give an example and rambled on about it being overall on Twitter is has blah blah blah. So yes if you are going to attempt to bash the mans company you should be able to provide atleast one example, especially when you say your own account has.
