Biden won't be literally unopposed if you count RFK Jr. as an opponent, but he will be effectively unopposed.

That Biden is in the basement incapacitated approach worked perfectly in 2020, especially when they had to pivot and suggest he used performance enhancement drugs after he crushed Trump in the debates. Monty is mostly correct. It's a fine strategy for Republicans to constantly remind voters that Biden is old because there is real concern about Biden's age.

But it's poor strategy for Republicans to suggest Biden is an incapacitated drooler. Actively working to set expectations for your opponent as low as possible almost guarantees that your opponent will exceed expectations.

I wonder if these guys talking about Biden's age realize that if Trump is elected, he will be the same age before his term ends. And he has also already showing signs of mental deterioration, which is especially bad since he didn't start from that high of a spot.

He isn't that far off. He wasn't super coherent in 2020 and he has only gotten worse in the interval, with one more year to go. I suspect IF he actually runs and debates in 2024 it will all be completely prepared material he is reading off a piece of paper, and even then it will be much less coherent than 2020.

As an aside I have watched a couple Youtubes of Kennedy and the Vivek, and (whatever you think of them as potential Presidents) after Trump and Biden it is definitely a little weird seeing a theoretical potential President that can actually make a coherent political stump speech, and feel a little upset this is what we should expect and be getting, but haven't since Obama.

I'm not saying repubs should make biden is a drooler a main talking point. My point was that biden had very limited public appearances prior to the election, but now that he is president it will be slightly more difficult to limit those appearances even though they've done a fairly good job so far of hiding him.

At this point his handlers should have him just lean into it, and randomly say stuff that is funny. For example, instead of ending press conferences with "God Save the Queen" they should prepare, "Seacrest Out".

I still can't understand how people think anyone could have biased the election for Biden apart from people appointed by Trump. The head of the IRS is appointed by the president. The head of the FBI is appointed by the president. If people appointed by Donald Trump wanted him out so badly that they fixed the election against the guy who appointed them, what does that say about him?

I don't believe most people who profess to believe that Biden stole the election. I think they're just pledging allegiance to their group and they know on some level it's not true. Like if St. Peter said they had to bet their soul on it, they'd admit that 99% of whatever they're claiming is bs.

Of course Biden stole the election, or at least the people that control him did. How any sane person can deny it is beyond me. The campaign to discredit the laptop story as Russian miss-information alone was probably enough to swing it in Biden's favor.

According to the above link, of all the modern presidents Trump had the most press interactions/year and had more press conferences/year than Obama, and over double Biden. Hope that helps.

Trump's awful performance as president had a lot to do with 80 million coming out to vote against him. Historians have him in the bottom 5 for a reason. If you only let people who held cabinet level positions in his administration vote in 2024 he'd probably lose to Biden again. That's unparalleled incompetence.
