Dude, you are genuinely not smart enough to realise when someone is way, way, smarter than you are. You remind me of me when I played pool when I was 18. I didn't even realise the amount of things I didn't know.

I don't think TD is smart at all, I think he's educated. You might not be smart enough to know the difference.

One, him basically calling critical praxis and indoctrination into critical theories a conspiracy theory
Sounds reasonable given your thread was cultural Bolshevism reloaded.

I don't think it's reasonable when I've cited multiple dozens of examples of teachers and school districts teaching critical theories such as "whiteness" as a truism/fact, or that rationality is racist, which is epistemologically sourced to critical race theory, which is a critical theory. You wouldn't call that critical praxis?
07-16-2021 , 08:38 AM
I don't think having "examples" is the determining factor in whether something's a conspiracy theory.

I say teachers are indoctrinating kids into critical (race) theories. You and TD apparently think that's a conspiracy theory. I post evidence of teachers indoctrinating kids into critical (race) theories, and you say that's not relevant to whether it's a conspiracy theory that teachers are indoctrinating kids into critical (race) theories.

I'm sorry, that's not a reasonable argument.

Do you think believers of other conspiracy theories couldn't post strings of examples from social media?

So could I start a thread on anti-racism/wokeism if I wanted that deals with all the same issues as the CRT threads, but without caring about the intellectual provenance of such philosophies?
07-16-2021 , 02:58 PM
Ok, let's let this thread chill for a bit. Regular screaming will commence soon.
07-16-2021 , 05:19 PM
Regular screaming can commence, I cleaned up some posts, but chill on the trolling.
07-16-2021 , 05:36 PM
Okay, but I want to be clear that I'm not entirely trolling that this supposed insidious plot by Marxists to pervert the minds of good people is cultural Bolshevism rebranded. It's nice that they dropped most of the antisemitic angle though, so never let it be said they don't make progress.

They didn't, they just found cute dogwhistles for it.

I think the claim that I'm propagating a conspiracy theory, is a conspiracy theory.

I don't know. I've seen people buy into the whole Frankfurt school cultural Marxisn crap that I don't think are raging antisemites like the olden days. They're not smart people but still...

@mods

What should we call the behavior of "trained to Marxist" who engage in a political activism by promoting critical theories? What should we call the behavior of activist teachers, school administrators, and other administrators of public institutions who engage in political activism by teaching critical theories?

Is this not critical praxis?

Quote:
Critical educational praxis occurs in two contexts: (1) authentic dialogue between learners and (2) the social reality in which people exist.

And is it the position of the mods this is not occurring?

Is it the position this is not marxian?

If you let these folks consistently call what I'm talking about a conspiracy theory, we should at least let people know what I'm actually talking about.

We call them cultural Bolshevists, obviously.

We colloquially refer to these activists as "the woke". I'm pretty sure you would agree "the woke" exist, right?

lol, the antisemites in the olden days raved about Marxism too, what are we talking about here.

Are you folks have to do is tell me what you call that behavior, if you don't want it called Marxism or critical praxis, or critical theory. What school of thought is it? Social justice?
07-16-2021 , 11:36 PM
Are you even capable of shutting up? Like is it physically possible for you to take yourself away from the computer and stop posting about "praxis" and "Marxist" and maybe go read up on how plurals work?

Seems like the answer is "no" and your uncontrollable compulsion to post will get you banned again

Define much longer. Honestly you need to take up gardening or water colors or something

This.

Like, over 1,000 posts of the same crap over and over again, a discussion that is going nowhere - why the **** do you care so much? I don't really care if there's an active CRT thread or not, but...wow.

I mean, it's been quite obvious that it's been locked, as suddenly your posting in other threads has shot up - you post in the CRT thread so much, you don't even have time to post elsewhere in this very forum.

As for the plurals, I hardly notice in between all the its and it's.

It's an understandable confusion to a certain extent, as it's one of those weird English rules. It is (contraction): it's. Something that belongs to it (possessive): its. The way I remember it is that an apostrophe for a contraction is always used, and always the same way - no exceptions I can think of. The apostrophe for a possessive has other weird issues, like for a plural possessive. So it loses out here.
