People who are more conscientious tend to lean conservative. These tend to be the "pull yourself up from your bootstraps" type of people. If you treat your work with respect and do your job well then you will be rewarded in the future, if not the present.
People who are more agreeable tend to be lean liberal. They will take the feelings of others into account when making a decision. Conservatives tend to belieive that "facts dont care about your feelings" and will tell hard truths.
People who are more open to ideas and experiences tend to lean liberal. Conservatives are more likely to be skeptical of new information that conflicts with their worldview while liberals are more likely to be skeptical of a worldview that doesn't match new information.
Extroversion and Nueroticism are pretty neutral politically although its fair to say that both political extremes are highly nuerotic, they just blame different people for the problems.
