But that's exactly what happened.

R's were offering $400/wk for the unemployed and another $1200 stim check and Pelosi wanted more for city governments, so she said no deal. Trump offered a straight $1200 stim check, Pelosi said no deal. You all called that negotiating. Now we are left with zero. Pelosi could have got something.

I was employed at the start of the year. Also, it does not matter what the House passed if it can't pass the Senate. You can trumpet that house bill, but it was DOA. Even moderate Democrats were calling that a message bill, or wish casting.

So where is the Republican effort ......I mean besides Turtleman walking away from the table?

Pelosi wanted more than R's were willing to give. That created an opening to negotiate with D's while attracting more moderate R's in order to get a deal passed in the Senate. However, Pelosi wanted more than even moderate R's were willing to spend, which killed any deal.

And let's not pretend Pelosi did this out of interest to the people. She did this to paint the Republicans politically. I said it before, blame Republicans for not getting the city money....or not getting the best deal, but don't let people like me sit in the wind while you play politics, which is what Pelosi did. It can't be denied she could have got a bill past the Senate and signed by Trump that helped some people, but she held out.

I have some data analytics on my resume now (on top of my MI background), and Vegas don't have too many of those type of jobs. I'm also not going to live in a city that devotes tax dollars to football stadiums when they have a really bad education system.

Mnuchin and Pelosi could come up with a deal. But McConnel wouldn't put it up for a Senate vote because all dems would support it and many republicans wouldn't.

For all we know the democrats would snap accept any proposal the republicans put forward. But we will never know.

So if the democrats fail to get the senate the amount of 1.8 billion is never happening .

She's not going to give in again. The problem with the GOP is, they never negotiate in good faith. So it is what it is. If you vote for them then thank yourself.

I think it's pretty fair to blame both Mitch McConnell and Pelosi for nothing happening. If it were up to Trump he probably would have cut 10k checks to everyone as long as you spent 80% of it on stocks.
