Or if the system is to be blamed? The system meaning her economic opportunities, her education, etc that led her to be primed for brainwashing and anger?

Reality is likely a combination of factors.
Combination, definitely. Leaders and people with influence have a responsibility to act in reality and with integrity, people have a responsibility to be informed and both carry responsibility for their respective actions and choices.

Too many people, even on forums like this, do that.
Ya I was speaking to the argument Cruz was saying that 'this deserves a 10 day hearing in the Congress as a way to clear it up' when he knows it would clear up nothing. Meaningless affidavits and conspiracy theories would be trotted out without the evidentiary standards a court has, and just repeated as if equal arguments to the 'other side'.

On a forum like this, in a containment thread, I am fine with it.

But I was on a forum like this decades ago (Rotten Tomatos) and it allowed some conspiracy theories to be repeated and suddenly a whole bunch of nutters invaded the forum and starting posting them in almost every thread with the slightest connection. The forum was getting overwhelmed and regulars were leaving.

Nutters love to find already established places that will allow them to invade and disseminated their nuttiness. Thus why they love Twitter and Facebook and hate when they clamp down.

One nice effect of the Democrats controlling both legislative bodies is we won't have any nutty congressional investigations that people like Cruz, Gaetz and Hawley can use as platforms to run for president, raise money, sell merchandise, etc.

At least until 2023

I suppose it depends on what emphasis you put on incites.

Because they want to steal the election.
The radical left knows exactly what they’re doing.
They’re ruthless and it’s time that somebody did something about it.

And we fight. We fight like Hell and if you don’t fight like Hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.

The Qanon guy that blocked the pat Tillman Bridge a couple years back was sentenced to 8 years in prison. I can't imagine what kind of federal charges will be in line for all of these "patriots". The next 4 years are going to be so satisfying.

The perception I got from some of the right wingers here, and their opinions are welcome, is that they don't comprehend the severity of the situation.
They'll soon have a rude awakening.

Listening just now to Michael Moore podcast on YouTube.
Interview with Flint congressman Dan Kildee.
Kildee alleges that on Sunday already, many Republican congressmen were showing around Maga people inside the Capital building and inviting them in their offices.

There's a $100 wager somewhere in this politics forum where one poster said the guy sitting in pelosi's seat won't go to jail, not for even one day. I couldn't help but LOL at how out of touch with reality that person was. This is an assault on American democracy like we've never seen before. EVER! These people are going to jail for many years , and its so hilarious that many of the insurrectionists were too stupid to know how serious of a crime they were in fact committing. The one guy holding the podium smiling for a picture.... I'm going to laugh my ass off when he's sentenced to a decade in jail.

Just wanted to jump in and say that for the good of the country, anyone who voted Trump probably needs to be on some sort of watch list. This is just another reason why.

I wonder if that head-dress rioter who was conveniently and falsely accused of being Antifa is now getting death threats from the people who originally supported the insurrection.

Not the most important question, but it's there.

Don't remember the source, but one guy from Maryland that was identified just lost his job. It's a start.
We can argue that Trump mislead and incited these people, but Let's be honest.
They were easily mislead because that's their true characters. They just needed direction all their pathetic lives.

I think you are misrepresenting that side of the wager a bit in terms of how it was presented (and it was for charity as well), though I admit if a Trumpderp had said that that moron would not be prosecuted as some form of defiance then I would have snap accepted any amount against that side as I assumed the guy would be arrested before infrastructure week that starts Monday.

What? I'm talking about your response.

Both you repeated the same rhetoric we heard after 9/11.

Congress enacted the Patriot Act by overwhelming, bipartisan margins, arming law enforcement with new tools to detect and prevent terrorism: The USA Patriot Act was passed nearly unanimously by the Senate 98-1, and 357-66 in the House, with the support of members from across the political spectrum.

M. Moore, ' they voted for what the terrorists demanded '.
On the 140 Republican congressmen who went ahead and voted to nullify the election.
I thought America never negotiated with terrorists?
