I agree with this analysis. You can say someone like Gove is a similar oddball who would likely not make a popular PM, but Gove is clearly a very capable politician and also an excellent orator.
However, Truss literally has no redeeming features as an individual. It was just weird and awkward watching her impersonate Thatcher while campaigning for the Tory leadership. And given everything that went on, not a hint of personal reflection or growth from the experience. For example, has she never considered that her failure to achieve anything as a minister was because she wasn't very good at the job, rather than some "deep state" conspiracy theory?
