Some legacy he's leaving.
A man of no talent who shouldn't have been near the job and a statement like that showed it.

Good positive messaging from the SNP on the possible leadership contestants...

Ah, yes, Kirsty Blackman. The MP and mother of two who claimed, in a debate on the definition of sex in the Equality Act, "I have no idea what my chromosomes are. I have an assumption that they are probably XY but I don't know," causing Joanna Cherry QC MP to roll her eyes and facepalm.

And Jeremy Corbyn still hasn't decided whether to stand as an independent. He might succeed, if his personal vote is strong enough, but if he doesn't... I'm not sure he wants to face that possibility.

Not a fan of galloway. Except the way he treats the 'media' - treating them with the contempt they deserve is spot on and desperately needed

The first migrants set to be deported to Rwanda have been detained.

The Home Office said a series of operations took place across the country this week, with more activity due to be carried out in the coming weeks.

Officials have not yet said how many people have been detained, or where they were taken into custody.

It comes ahead of the Government’s bid to get flights to send migrants to the east African nation off the ground by July, after the Safety of Rwanda Act became law last week.

I'm not sure that going on Celebrity Big Brother for a large fee was treating the media with contempt.

Unless your immediate ancestors were Irish your ancestral homeland is Africa and any other claims you hear people make are poor genetic science bullshit.

News media

Much of it needs to be treated with contempt. That doesn't in any way imply that he also doens't need to be treated with contempt. If he leads the way to far better politcians treating the seriously shite parts of the media with contempt then that would be a very good thing.

The sad reality is that on top of the usal problems some have with refugees this will become far more about inter european deisputes. The refugees with be political victims (on top of everything else) of the need not to let neighbours gain some percieved advantage.

This sort of thing is the real brexit diaster. Only the far right across europe benefit fom this.

Possible of course but it's the difference between seeking to work together vs seeking an 'advantage'.

brexit only helped the far right in this regard.

The migrant movement from hot dictatorial places to temperate democratic places obviously has nothing to do with Brexit, and France and other EU countries are collecting an awful lot of it, and Ireland is now starting to get its share of the bother. As far as the small boats are concerned, organised crime (largely based in Turkey, I think), which runs the whole show, couldn't give a damn about Brexit, it just wants the stupid sums of money that people are apparently prepared to pay for a substandard 'service' that may end up killing their children in the crush to board the overloaded inflatables, as we have recently seen.

Like Hungary and Poland?

Or maybe those nationalities are different in some way to Africans. Hmm can't think what that could be. You're sounding quite Enoch-adjacent here.

The brexit point is nothing whatsover to do with the extent of migrant flow into Europe.
