Agreed. I always avoided those type of games because i heard how much cash was present.
A large percent of the people coming to Casino Niagara and then Fallsview Casino, both in Niagara Falls Ontario were from upstate NY. They would drive or walk across from Niagara (Buffalo) USA bridge as there was no casino action at that time on that side.
Lineups were often hours but as a regular at the Poker tables you had your ways to get snuck in and to the poker tables.
It was set up to be a Canadian Tax on US citizens by being so close to the border which was the same as the Windsor Casino being built near the Detroit border.
Then NYS allowed for the building of the much smaller Seneca Casino on the US side to just try and keep the people on that side.
Detroit did the same by allowing a small casino on the US side.
