Agreed. I always avoided those type of games because i heard how much cash was present.

A large percent of the people coming to Casino Niagara and then Fallsview Casino, both in Niagara Falls Ontario were from upstate NY. They would drive or walk across from Niagara (Buffalo) USA bridge as there was no casino action at that time on that side.

Lineups were often hours but as a regular at the Poker tables you had your ways to get snuck in and to the poker tables.

It was set up to be a Canadian Tax on US citizens by being so close to the border which was the same as the Windsor Casino being built near the Detroit border.

Then NYS allowed for the building of the much smaller Seneca Casino on the US side to just try and keep the people on that side.

Detroit did the same by allowing a small casino on the US side.

Cuepee guess I won’t be moving to Ontario anytime soon considering how the cops there are just as bad as they are in the states.

Well please note the time frame I am referencing which was 2003/4/5 when I played the most.

I don't know if things would be very different now but I think it is moot as poker and these type of games died off when the MoneyMaker effect wore off.

As stated earlier (and communicated to OP), thread is now closed. More because it has run its course than anything else.

Future posters wishing to do AMAs should ask the mods first. It can be interesting to get to know people behind political views, so such threads can get some leeway.
