Not saying it's not possible, but I think it's more likely to be an oversight or shady behavior from a 3rd party payment processor than it resulting from the nefarious actions of an employee of BetOnline IMO.
BOL should still credit it to your account though and take the hit on their end if they can't recover the funds as long as it can be confirmed that you did send it to them.
Try sending
BetOnline Mike a private message detailing your situation and include your account details if you have not done so already.
If he can't help directly then he should be able to pass the information to somebody who can.
