Wireless card/internet poker question... Wireless card/internet poker question...

Are there any plans that offer a specific amount of time for a wireless card? I ask because I am going to be sitting in a car on a 6 hour drive twice this weekend, and it would be great to be able to play poker on the drive. I have no use to be paying X amount of dollars a month for a wireless service, but it would be great if someone offered something like say $14.99 for 72 hours or whatever it would be so whenever I was going on a long car ride or trip with no internet I could take advantage to play poker if I'm bored. Thanks.

Also, has anyone used a wireless card in a car? Any issues to play poker?

I assume you are in the USA. Virgin Mobile has a no-contract deal which I use when traveling the US.

Don't know if that's what you're looking for.

That is exactly what I'm looking for...awesome man, thanks. How is the connection, relatively fast (good enough for one or two tables of poker?) I know it probably depends on the signal where you are, but in general I guess.

Thanks again.

This will be fast enough to play numerous tables as long as your getting a signal which it should work in a majority of areas since Virgin mobile runs off the Sprint network.

If you happen to have Sprint for your wireless carrier with an android phone you can just go into their market and search for a tethering program instead of buying this card since it would be the same thing.

Sounds good...would you suggest the usb device or the hot spot? Or is the hot spot if you are staying in one location and the usb for being on the move?

The one I purchased before I realized I could just tether my phone since I have Sprint is :

I can't say how well it worked since I never opened the package because I didn't need it so I returned it but I remember reading decent reviews including a few youtube clips on it but their could be something different now I'm not sure.

The performance drop due to signal speed can be annoying at times when you are moving (I used it on a train), but besides that I found no problem multi-tabling.

I bought the USB device at BestBuy along with a 20$ top-up card. I recharge the account through Virgin's website every time I'm back traveling in the US.
