what happened, it used to be such a well run site. support was back to you within the hour with good competent results. now they give you the roundabout and your cashouts take forever!

i will keep updated but please tell me if you are having the same problems
I believe you will find that they employ smarmy misdirection whenever your inquiries approach the when/why/how of their current cashout practices. I think I'll get my $ before I get a straight answer on anything substantive.

I think cakes cashout delays have been in the area of 15 months now. They been using the same excuses as for the reasons on these delays. Everyone has been putting in their 2 cents worth as to why the long delays so, ill put in my 2 cents also.

Cakes site was not included on the list of sites with the black friday fiasco. Cake could possibly be at the top of the next list of sites that are to be busted by the usa. If Cake is forced to shut down, they will keep all the money that is in pending cashouts. I am sure there is a ****load pending due to no one really feeling secure with their money on that site.

Plus, if poker is regulated by the usa, then, maybe all these sites lose %90 of their clientale. Meaning, they all go under. I think Cake knows that in the next 6 months, they will no longer be in operation. So, why not milk every dime they can for when that day comes.

I know i play shortstacked br on that site now. I am sure many do. Hence, the huge backlog of cashouts that will never be caught up on before this site is forced out of the business. I just hope i dont get hit to hard.

my 2 cents

Thought I'd post my latest interaction w/ Cake support, in case it might contribute to an overall info base re: Cake cashouts:

ME:
Look,

Are you just going to continue your roundabout, dishonest hemming and hawing responses to my cashout questions while intending to steal my money all along? Is ANYONE getting paid? I don't see a lot of posts in the forums about people getting paid -- only legions of people who now hate Cake. Are you actually going to pay me? Are you ACTUALLY progressing toward my cashout? I know it's your job to give me formulaic, cut-and-paste, irrelevant responses. I know it's your job to give me the runaround -- I'm just trying to figure out whether I could/should sell my Cake money for pennies on the dollar. I hear Cake money is selling for 45 cents on the dollar, and I know it's only gonna go lower.

CAKE:

Thank you for your email. All players are being paid but there are considerable delays which we understand are unacceptable, i would not recommend selling your account as you will receive your cashout, and we would not want you to lose income by doing this. With regards posts in forums a player that received there cashout would be far less likely to post as they are ultimately satisfied regardless of the delays to have there funds in there bank account and still have to ability to play online in the US after all bad news will tend to spread 10 times faster than good. I would urge you to be patient and not throw away your funds by selling it through transfer's ect.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Kind Regards
Liam

Hypothetically, what if a player went to Cake's address in Curacao and "knocked on their door"? Could they write a check?

I'd happily take a roundtrip flight for $280 if it meant being able to retrieve a significant portion of bankroll.

They are paying. I am US player, got two checks of 3k each in this month. I waited more than 100 days for the first one though. The 2nd one came 5 days after I requested it, pretty shocking to me. deposited them in the bank. Haven't bounced yet. But probably need to wait a little longer to make sure.

I played on Cake until the end of July when I decided that despite the softness of the games, the combination of slow cashouts, the shady way they handled the LIMITBOSS 60k affair and the DOJ actions against Pokerstars, etc, meant it was too risky to continue playing there. I'd withdrawn a large chunk of my roll on there over the previous 12 months anyway (in smaller amounts - approx. 3k at a time). Neteller withdrawals were taking about 3 - 4 weeks each time. My last withdrawal I did by bank transfer at the end of July and that took about a week I think (I posted in here somewhere but I can't be bothered to look back and find the exact time it took).

Hope this helps.

edited to add: My rakeback provider is cake itself. I signed up back when cake was in beta testing and I agreed to "try out" the software in exchange for rakeback.
I might be in the same boat with regard to cake itself being my rakeback provider. I didn't beta test but I was playing Cake way back in the olden days. Sigh. Maybe I can run good and get the check by xmas.

That's exactly the same advice Bernie Madoff was giving to his victims when they wanted to sell their stock at a loss. He consistently urged them not to sell that they'll lose money. Don't sell. Don't sell because I don't want to see you losing money. So you know what to do when you get that advice. SELL, AND SELL FAST! I wish it wasn't that complicated to sell because I'd sell in a heartbeat.

$1,463.80 cashout, Neteller, non-US

Requested 9/16
Credited 9/20

Now that's a post-Black Friday record. Payment received after only two business days!

I no longer have any money at Cake and I also have no plans to return to their network again, but I have to acknowledge that, in these times of turmoil and uncertainty, they came through for me.

I'll keep following this thread and pulling for you guys, especially the US players, the ones who are having the hardest time receiving their money. I believe that, if I got paid, you will all get paid eventually as well.

Good luck!
