Wasn't there a problem with the software for this site?
"Where can US Players Play ???" Good question.....and there are more than a few sites & skins that will accept a US Based Players Deposit, and allow you to play. The more interesting question.......IMHO......is which of these sites process CASH OUTS to the US Based players in a consistent and somewhat timely manner ? (Post Black Friday)
After 5 years of almost daily online poker it's home games and casinos for me. I won't go through the hoops of trying to get money online just to have the DOJ seize it.
Dude... I totally hear you. Same with me, only problem is playing with live players I feel myself getting worse instead of better, despite being able to win.

just stumbled upon this thread and saw no one mentioned that there are some relatively unknown italian and asian rooms, with decent traffic and support, that will take americans.
Anyone come across good HORSE or more rotation games that run regularly on any other sites? ( I know, I know, most US players have no idea what any game but holdem is but there's got to be a few that do. )
yea i totally feel you on this. even when it all becomes legal its going to take aloooong time for mix games to get back to where they were if they even will.

Which are..........................................?

I would also like to know the names of such sites.
The main networks still serving the US are, in order of traffic (hi to lo):
Merge
Bodog
Cake
Everleaf
Other than Bodog, there are lots of skins on each network and you will find different levels of customer service, promotions & incentives, etc. on each. You can see what the skins are of each network on pokerscout.com . Not all skins on each network accept US players.
To make a choice, first find one that gives good rakeback. These days rakeback offers are limited and most rakeback sites have all the same rakeback offers. Bodog doesn't offer rakeback. Merge eliminated rakeback for new accounts at the end of May (VIP rewards instead). Cake offers 33%; Everleaf offers 40%.
Secondly, look for other player incentives. First deposit bonuses are important, along with player points rewards. Rakechases are also helpful - and is often about the only thing that differentiates the various rakeback sites. There also might be various 1st deposit freerolls offered, depending on which skin you choose or which rakeback site.
Most importantly these days, you need to find a site that has relatively easy and reliable methods of deposits and withdrawals for US players. Merge has been having a lot of trouble lately, and has actually temporarilty halted all new US account signups while they try to sort it out. Cake network has been very unreliable lately for cashouts - there are lots of players that have been waiting multiple weeks. Bodog seems to be doing ok - around 2 weeks for check cashouts (first one/month free, then $50). Everleaf has been good - options are limited to Western Union and bank wire for both deposits and withdrawals for US players (no fees for WU cashouts; bank charges for WU).
Customer service is also very important these days. This varies by skin. Cake is horrible, as are most of its skins. Bodog is mostly ok. Merge varies depending on the skin - LockPoker and RPMPoker seem to be the best choices, avoid CarbonPoker. Everleaf has some skins with excellent cs - MintedPoker or RaiseandFold, avoid EverleafPoker.
Note: Highest traffic times on all these networks is early to mid-afternoon, which is evening in Europe.
Regarding ClubWPT and the other subscriptions sites, I wouldn't recommend them. Cash games are for play money. SNGs are for points. Points are used to play MTTs, which are either for more points or for cash or prize awards. Most MTTs cash prizes are in the $100 or less range. Once a week there might be a $500 prize pool and once a month there will be two big tournament prizes, one for cash in the $1k to $10K range, one for something like a live tournament seat. All MTTs are open to all players, so the bigger prize MTTs have huge fields. You always start with very few chips - 1k to 1.5K - and blinds are fairly fast. All the games play stupid - like big freerolls. Until the end game, expect multiple all-ins on nearly every hand.

RPM has great customer service and so far I like them. Stay away from cake ^^^^
All sites are going to be a little more difficult to deposit with the current climate so might want to open up a Western Union online account, it is relatively easy. GL with your search!
I think go with Players Only (many withdraw options right now), Lock Poker (can get Ipad2 and deposit bonus) or RPM (good promos and good customer service)
