Hello 2p2, i want to share what is happened with ukash cashouts lately on Pokerstars.

I'm from Turkey a 6max hyper grinder in low stakes and i was playing on pokerstars before the latest restrictions for players located in Turkey. They offered us only Ukash option to withdraw our funds so we started making €250(max ukash amount at a time) cashouts (allowed €700 per day).I had myself more than $10k so this would take some time for sure.

Anyway there are turkish betting and gambling sites that accepts ukash so we were using our ukash codes in those.I made 15x€250 cashouts and used 9 of them but kept 6 of them separate to use later.

After 2 days from last cashout, a friend asked me for ukash codes to deposit to a turkish site and we tried the codes but they weren't working.I asked about it to some turkish friends on skype and they told me they are having similar issues, 2 of them told me they were dealing with this for 2 weeks and PS support and Ukash were claiming the codes were redeemed.I was in shock indeed.

So i emailed PS and they confirmed my codes were redeemed too, i was asked to contact Ukash to solve this.So did i.I was told to be contacted in 48 hours.However it had been 5 days and nobody was responding my email.I found a feedback mail address in their complaint page, and emailed again after 10mins they replied me requesting some informations about the codes like amount and the site where i was gonna use them.I sent it all, next day they sent this;

"By using Ukash in order to gamble, you are breaching our terms and conditions and the laws and regulations in your country, which is why I'm afraid we will not be able to assist you further."

LOL
there is almost no place to spend ukash other than betting and gambling sites in Turkey.

I contacted PS again telling Ukash wasn't willing to help.PS was saying there wasn't much to do as codes were redeemed. They just gave me the dates they were used.In the meanwhile i was googling to find out what was going on with Ukash.I found a popular turkish forum where people were claiming their codes were redeemed too. They had cashouts from Turkish betting sites and they figured codes weren't working when they tried to deposit other sites. Also i heard Ukash was having some problems lately in their network, resellers cannot generate required codes or codes not work as they are supposed to be.For the reason ukash had stopped resellers to generate new codes till they solve these issues.Big companies like Pokerstars was still able to generate new codes. As much as i know they said they were gonna fix it in 2 days but they postponed it for 8 days (between 10th and 20th October). If i'm not wrong first claim about redeemed codes was reported on 25th september in turkish forums.

When i put everthing together it's obvious that Ukash had some security leaks and codes were stolen as soon as they are generated. That's how our codes are used by someone elses.I googled some but couldn't find much in foreign sites about this.Probably because of the laws here ukash is most used in Turkey.Other countries have many options like Skrill or Neteller.

PS tracked one of my friends' codes and found them redeemed in turkish betting sites.I'm still waiting for that information about my 6 codes. This can be a coincidence or hackers are turk? Also one thing i noticed, 9 codes of mine that worked was used in first 12 hours after PS sent them to me.The 6 that didn't work, were 1 day or older.

Here are the amounts and PS names of ukash victims that i know, there are many small amounts that people didn't care much and report.

Judaz49 6x€250
ottomantr1 3x€250
||Burkeeee! 2x€250
blackjagu 2x€250
arinna1 $204
06zorro06 €36.43

There are about total of 15k euro ukash victims in other turkish betting sites.

I'm posting here because when you ask Pokerstars about it they take it personal(like an individual case which is obviously not), say codes are redeemed and ask us to contact Ukash but ukash already ignoring us because of the laws in Turkey.Maybe we can find a solution here in 2p2.Any suggestion, view or questions are welcome.

Cliffs:
-OP claims ukash codes are stolen or hacked
-Almost 20k euro ukash victims
-Ukash doesn't take responsibility
-Do not use ukash option unless you have to, if you do, spend it as soon as you get it.

I am having same problem with Ukash vouchers created by Pokerstars. I have been contacting Pokerstars and Ukash since 6th October. I got nothing significant. First of all Ukash has really poor customer service, they dont reply to e-mails in promised time period. And even there are some Turkish Ukash victims which could not get any response from Ukash. There are two kind of answer that Ukash gives me;

- "I would like to explain you that as you are located in Turkey, due to your country legislation you cannot possess a Code which is not age restricted because they cannot be used on gambling website. We are therefore unable to assist you further with this case. "

-"We are sorry to hear that you are having problems using Ukash. By obtaining Ukash from an unauthorised source you are not the holder of the Ukash as defined in Ukash Terms and Conditions: Ukash cannot guarantee that Codes obtained from unofficial sources are genuine. We are therefore unable to assist you further with this case.
Please contact the source you bought the Ukash Code from, as they are the genuine owner as defined in our Terms and Conditions."

I tried to call Ukash customer service twice, once i waited 10+ min on the line and i could not get connected to any service staff. Second time i called they told that they are out of service right now, call back later (i called in hour of work)

I noticed that Ukash sellers in Turkey could not sell any Ukash vouchers for over 20 days. When i asked, i was told that Ukash is working on some security improvements.

There are lots of people comes in to Turkish betting forums everyday with same complaint that they cashout their money from betting site through Ukash option and vouchers are not valid, neither betting site nor Ukash helping them.

I have never used Ukash cards in my life, i dont think that i am ever going to use it again. And the funny thing is that this was the only one cashout option that Pokerstars offered us after its sudden shutdown in my country.

Briefly, in my opinion Ukash has serious leaks in their system. They are aware of it, they lie to Pokerstars, they lie to us. They are not willing to do justice to victims.

Adding myself to the victim list:

FrontSides
1 x €237.31 (issued 1st Oct)
1 x €121.43 (issued 2nd Oct)

3 days ago, I learned that my codes have been used. Contacted both Ukash and PS. Ukash doesn't reply. PS support launched an inquiry but it doesn't progress because they aren't able to reach Ukash too.

In future, I'd suggest opening a Neteller account.
Deposit your Ukash immediately to Neteller.
Then use Neteller as you would any e-wallet.
There are some restrictions on immediately cashing out funds deposited by Ukash, but you can get around it by just depositing it to a site and withdrawing.

Assuming Turkeys can use Neteller.

It may be different in Turkey, but you can get cash for Ukash in the UK:

https://www.ukash.com/en-GB/products/withdrawals/

Also Bitcoins.

We can use Neteller as e-wallet but we can not transfer/receive money from online gambling sites. We can deposit our Ukash voucher to Neteller but we can not transfer it to any other member or withdraw it from atm. We can only transfer it to merchant sites or transfer it to Net+ for purchases.

There is also one important uptade about depositing Ukash voucher to Neteller account. Recently to make deposit on Neteller by using Ukash option, you need to send documents to prove where and when you got this Ukash voucher. I believe that its very meaningfull in terms of timing.

That's quite extraordinary. Neteller only came into existence for people to move money in and out of poker sites, quickly and easily.

Again, in the UK, you can use your Net+ card to withdraw up to $3300 (or equivalent) per day from ATMs.

loool...Turks not "Turkeys" jeez.

Sounds like Ukash is rouge. Stars shouldn't be affiliated with them from here on, even if they're not responsible themselves for this. It's a really bad situation with no support from either side.

By the way in Turkey we cannot get cash for Ukash. They dont even offer Ukash Travel Money Card. There is no way to turn Ukash to cash here.

It is really weird, they have turkish language option at their site, they have dozens of resellers here in Turkey, Turkish people are using this method only to deposit/cashout money from online gambling sites. Ukash is an option in every online gambling sites. But somehow when you want to contact support for help, they refuse to assist. They dont give us any service, but they can't say no to this market. What kind of business ethics is this.

I had to use the option of UKash to deposit a few times. It's sketchy and I've heard many stories of scams. I would use UKash as a last resort and move funds as fast as I could.

Since this is a big issue about Ukash in Turkey, I am concerned about situation and expect a reasonable explanation from the company to happenings.

The only thing comes up to my mind is, they are gonna withdraw from turkey market like pokerstars and made something wrong throughout the withdrawal.

This is not only player from Turkey. I'm canadian and have been cashing out of WPT poker (party skin) for months via Ukash. My two most recent vouchers (Oct 26 and 27) have shown up as invalid when i've tried to deposit on other sites with them.

Any suggestions where to go from here other than contacting wpt and ukash support?

Finally someone abroad. You should firstly contact ukash and they will tell you these codes have been redeemed. Then you can go further telling them you didn't use them i wonder how they are gonna reply you bcos you are not Turkish. They might advice you to contact that poker site or even police (thinking these codes are stolen from you blabla).I don't know if they will ever accept their failure but more cases like this everyday will reveal the truth hopefully.

Also there is ombudsman option at last which i don't know about much.

Thanks to Pokerstars Chris and the Payment Services Staff of Pokerstars, our codes have been replaced with new ones. It was a long process due to Ukash's denials about what is going on.However Pokerstars stood up for us and so we were able to get our money back.

I hope other companies fight for their customers as Pokerstars did. It is hard to prove something when you are alone by yourself. That's why we must be supported by them.
