I'm sure the players will be relieved to know that Lock is using their bankrolls to rent/purchase new real estate.

Spoiler:
Hopefully Lock is downsizing in order to save money

No one has ever questioned Lock's ability to spend money.

Players owed money I would think will be relieved to know that Lock Poker has no intention of closing shop any time soon as has been alluded to by some on this site.

Lock has gone from ~1200 players to ~300 players in the past few months, as per Pokerscout.

Why do they need new office space? Are they downsizing?

Well before they were just backpacking through the European countryside. Now they've decided to go with permanent offices, so you can rest assured that they are here to stay. Hooray!

What business school did you go to again???
So you think that moving into new offices is a metric in evaluating a company's viability or solvency? Please enlighten us with your vast accounting acumen, as your point shows how you lack any real knowledge of finance and accounting. Seriously, better to remain silent and thought a fool. you know the rest............

Lock could easily end up like WSEX. In 1-2 years Lock might end closing up shop and not paying anyone.

1-2 years? I'd be pretty shocked if they're still going in 6 months.

Hello Jeff,

Thank you for your email. Due to the current delays we are experiencing with cashouts, I'm afraid we cannot confirm a timeframe as we could not guarantee a timeframe and we do not wish to mislead you. We are hoping you won't be waiting much longer and we will email you as soon as the funds have been sent. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Kind regards,

Sara

Everyone should just start sending hundreds of emails daily.

WSEX was a mess and had most of their money tied up in Sanford's Antigua bank when it went under. Those guys were pretty aloof too and couldn't bring themselves to work with other operators. They should have just sold a long time ago.

God forbid if Lock were ever to run into any type of serious financial trouble, BOL (Hero Poker Network) or WPN would step in and acquire them as Lock has great value. Sites like G911 and SBR help facilitate these types of deals.

We just had one of the oldest online sportsbooks (though primarily a credit shop) Legends Sports indicted with the US Government looking to seize around $1 billion and still a competitor stepped in and assumed all the accounts as opposed to Legends just shutting down and sticking it to all their customers like WSEX did.

Lock is no fly by night operation.

Yeah, you aren't biased at all. Why have they had ridiculous cashout delays for 10+ months? No one is buying their customer base. See ub/ap.

received this e mail from LOCK

Hello,

Our apologies for the delay, we are working very hard to catch up to the backlog of payouts and sincerely apologies for this. Our Cashier Manager has assured me that your request is being looked into often to ensure there are no future delays.

We appreciate your continued patience and understanding.
Many thanks,

fly-by-night [flahy-bahy-nahyt] adjective

1. not reliable or responsible, especially in business; untrustworthy: a fly-by-night operation.

Errrr, actually that is exactly what they are according to the dictionary................

Can you post the details of the Legends acquisition?

These situations are hardly ideal. Take a look at everleaf, enet type stuff.

It ends up being "you had $500 on a site, so if you rake 1k, we will let you cashout $500."

The only person that really ends up benefiting is the acquiring site, and it ends up being more of a scheme to get you to play on their site than an actual savior of a lost bankroll.

Another point is: Clearly AP/UB were much larger than Lock when they went under. If it's no big deal, player lists are so valuable and player balances will be saved, why haven't they been saved over there?

I think the answer is that these "moving players to other sites to recover their bankroll" are not often what they seem. They trick naive players often into raking a ton of money to unlock their bankroll, and it just ends up being a moderate to decent rakeback deal in the end.
